DIGITAL PRESS OPERATOR/GRAPHIC DESIGN TECHNICIAN/PRODUCTION ARTIST

Family owned and operated printing company since 1977 is looking for a Digital Press Operator/Graphic Design Technician/Production Artist.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Customer Service: Greet walk-in clients, answer phones, schedule one-on-one consultations as needed.
· Blueprint Service: print from file or copy from paper originals.
· Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing experience with Adobe Creative Suite
· Receive and review files from customers.
· Create new files and accurate proofs for the customer to review and approve.
· Revise files and verify the final files meet requirements for Offset or Digital Printing.
· In addition to file prep, other duties include file imposition, creating of imposition proofs and other tasks related to the prepress area.
· Preferred candidate will have at least 2 years prior experience in the print industry supporting the prepress function of the company.
· Responsible for operating digital press equipment, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
· Bindery and finishing on printed jobs including, but not limited to, scoring, cutting, folding, stitching, drilling, and binding.
· Vendor management, creation of purchase orders for outsourcing.
· Create estimates and work orders/invoices using EFI PrintSmith Vision.
· Manage and Maintain workflow for all design, print, and finishing.
· Ensure that jobs are being produced on-time and meeting deadlines
· Inventory and order digital equipment consumables, paper stock, and packaging supplies.
· Delivery to clients within the Doylestown area may be required on occasion. Must be able to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications & Requirements
Detail oriented, possessing a high level of technical skill within Adobe Creative Suite.
Efficient, Flexible and Versatile, must be able to work independently with minimal direction in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Must be able to multi-task and delegate.
Takes responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work.
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be able to perform the essential job duties working in a manufacturing environment.
Requires the ability to perform the following: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, kneel &/or climb. In addition, requires the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Hourly, Commensurate with Experience
Schedule: 8:30-5 M-F, No weekends or evenings
Ability to commute/relocate: Doylestown, PA 18901: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) This is not a remote position.
Shift availability: Day Shift (Required)
