Here’s a perfect example of a dahlia boom that I missed disbudding . If you don’t disbud, the main bloom will bloom on a short stem with multiple buds around it hiding the bloom. You are welcome to contact me to stop over for a demonstration if this is confusing. I’m happy to help.

Here’s a perfect example of why I disbud. The main bud/bloom has opened and the two side buds have now risen higher than that main bloom. This bloom is useless in my opinion with its super short stem.

Please disbud to encourage one main bloom on each of its stems!
