If we sat down for coffee and you asked me about launching a boutique hotel, this is exactly what I’d tell you. ☕️

Having been through the launch process myself, there are some things I’d do completely differently the second time around (swipe to see what!). Whether you’re opening something new, relaunching after a renovation, or just wishing someone had handed you a roadmap at the start, this one’s for you.

Pretty pictures don’t fill rooms.
Here’s what actually does. ↓

Your Instagram feed is your front desk. Your pinned posts are the concierge. Your Stories are the tour guide. But most hotel feeds? They look beautiful and say nothing.

In our latest post on The Art of Hosting, we’re breaking down exactly how to build a social strategy that turns followers into bookings: story-first, clarity-forward, and built for your specific property.

Summer weekends are some of the most valuable dates on your calendar… *and* some of the most competitive.

Guests, especially summer guests, aren’t waiting until the last minute. Instead, they’re already planning around events, long weekends, and the experiences they want to have this summer.

They’re searching NOW to compare options and make decisions. And the properties that show up early fill up first… especially if they have clarity in their marketing and ease in their booking flow.

If you own or operate a boutique hotel, motel, or vacation rental, this is your window to:

• ramp up your marketing for key weekends
• build demand for local events
• run targeted campaigns to reach the right guests
• reconnect with past guests who are ready to book again

Because by the time summer arrives, many guests have their travel decisions already made.

If you’re ready to lock in your summer booking, save this or give us a shout!

Most independent hotel owners didn’t get into hospitality to become marketers.

You built something beautiful.
You care about the guest experience.
You want full calendars (without relying entirely on OTAs).

That’s where we come in.
Brosy is a fractional marketing & sales team for independent boutique hotels, lodges, and experience-led stays. We work alongside owners the way an in-house team would (but without the overhead.)

What that actually means:
• We define your ideal guest (so you know what to say.)
• We clarify your messaging (so your people understand why you.)
• We develop story-driven content that reflects the real experience.
• We run paid media campaigns strategically (not reactively.)
• We optimize your website so views turn into bookings.

We’re hospitality insiders who understand:
• Occupancy pacing
• Shoulder season gaps
• Booking windows
• Direct booking strategy

Our goal is simple:
More check-ins.
Less chaos.

A marketing system that supports the experience you’ve worked so hard to build. If you’re running an independent property and want marketing that feels aligned (not overwhelming) you’re in the right place.

——

Save this if you’re building something intentional, or send it to a hospitality founder who needs it.

Raised in a barn →→→ raising the bar in hospitality marketing.

Women-owned. Rooted in strategy. Story-obsessed.

We may have the most snow on the ground yet, but summer is truly just around the corner and if you’re in a spot where summer is the busy season, you *know* it will fill up fast. Which is so fun. ☀️

Also a little less fun but still true: Your summer pricing can make or break your whole year. It might not hit right away, but looking back at the year end and seeing that your pricing wasn’t where you wanted it to be is something that no hotelier or host wants to experience.

Pricing is all about maintaining a hospitality business, strategically and in a way that makes this work sustainable. So with that in mind, we wrote a blog post covering three tips for setting summer rates *before* the busy season hits. They’re practical, and we hope they leave you feeling confident about how you’re approaching your high-season pricing before it’s too late.

If you’re an owner or operator heading into summer planning, we hope this is helpful!

Not me crying at a coffee shop while putting the final edits on our latest Industry Leader Takeover blog post 🥲 and developing a major girl crush in the process.

Katherine Parker-Magyar doesn’t just write about travel; she writes about the soul of adventure and the deep human connection woven into these wildly beautiful places.

In a moment where everyone’s asking, “How can we automate this?” Katherine is over here asking, “How can we honor this?”
This place. These people. This fleeting moment that will never exist exactly the same way again.

Whether it’s a dusty safari in Botswana or the elegance of a Parisian rooftop, Katherine writes with the rare ability to make readers feel like they’ve already arrived.

She’s people-first, always.

And honestly? In this industry, every time we open our email or Instagram it’s all, “Here’s how AI can make your life easier” or “Automate your entire business in 10 steps.” But when we asked her what advice she had for hospitality professionals, she simply said: “Write thank you notes.”
We felt that in our soul.

If you’re looking for an inspiring read to pair with that afternoon cup of coffee, comment “soul” and we’ll drop the link in your inbox.

Katherine is exactly the kind of leader we created our Industry Leader Takeover series for…someone who reminds us that travel can still be intimate, intentional, and wildly connective.

Here’s to writers who send thank you notes, chase Botswana sunsets, and refuse to flatten the world into clickbait. ✨

Know someone who belongs in this series? Nominate them at [email protected] or tag them in the comments! We’re always looking for the next voice rewriting the rules of hospitality and travel.

Yes yes yes, social media, Google ranking, and ads are so important for boutique hotels, STRs and resorts. But did you know that over a third of WEBSITE visitors leave hotel websites before they even make it past the home page? 🥶

We love data so much and here’s some stats that we can’t get over…

💡 The average conversion rate for hotel & resort websites is just 1.5 - 2.5%. That means for every 1,000 visitors, only about 20 will book. Which also means these properties need to push SO MANY VISITORS via ads and such to hit occupancy goals.

Sadly, if your website isn’t clear, engaging, and easy to use — you could be losing out on potential revenue before your marketing even has a chance to work.

This is where strategy meets design. We get nerdy about making sure your website, ads, and social media actually work together to maximize conversions.
