Hot off the press!
My annual big Spring design project—Guide to Pure Catskills Products—is printed and out and about. This year it seems especially satisfying the see such great entrepreneurial energy and spirit after all the trials of the pandemic. I am honored and humbled to lend my skills to promote this amazing collection of businesses.

WKC Community Spotlight ⭐️

Thanks very much to the Oneonta Farmer's Market for many years of support as a WKC playbill advertiser, as well as for being a vital community hub for farmers and shoppers!

It’s a market on Market Street this winter(!)—every Saturday thru April, 9am-noon, Foothills Performing Arts & Civic Center hosts vendors in its spacious atrium. Shop local honey, maple syrup, apples, vegetables, meat, eggs, live plants, baked goods, & more from ARK Floral, Berry Brook Farm, Lord and Lady Farm, Mill Hollow Maple, Middlefield Orchard, Mulligan Creek Acres, Tauzel Farms, & 221 Bakery 🍎🥬🥖❤️

For a number of years I've designed the annual report for the Watershed Agricultural Council—a great organization here in the Catskills. It's mission of supporting working landscapes is one that's close to my heart. Here are a few spreads from the 2020 Annual report.

Label design for a client close to my heart. Being a good Swede, dairy is my favorite food group so I’m happy to design their logo as well as butter, creamline milk and buttermilk packaging. Kriemhild Dairy is in Hamilton NY and even has a collection of antique butter churns!

The author of a book I designed last year —Magnetic Mounting Systems for Museums and Cultural Institutions—just shared with me that she received a publication award from the American Institute for Conservation. It was a monster book (400 pages) with gads of tables, diagrams and illustrations. Quite the challenge. It's so gratifying to know all that hard work made a difference and the book did its job.

Hot off then press! My latest cover and interior design for BlueBridge Books. It’s always such a relief when you realize the printer didn’t mess up. A well written and fascinating book too. The subtitle reads “ How the most famous scientist of the romantic age found the soul of nature”. Good reading in this time of climate catastrophe.

Love to see my butter package out there promoting sustainable farming.

As most of you know our neighbors over at Red Gate Farm are a seasonal dairy who's cows have a grass based diet.

Grass feeding makes the milk richer in omega-3 fats, vitamin E, beta-carotene, and CLA.

My Spring design project, the Guide to Pure Catskills products is out. As in every year I do this I am awed by the number of creative entrepreneurs/farmers/producers that are in these hills.
