Cone Editions Press Cone Editions Press, founded in 1980 by Jon and Cathy Cone became Earth's first digital printmaking studio. It has three divisions.

It is a leading developer of photographic and fine art printing technology and prints for thousands of artists and photographers. Included in the archives are etchings, woodcuts, screenprints, monoprints, photogravures, Iris prints, and Piezography prints of many internationally known artists and photographers. These prints are sold as collectors prints. JonCone Studio develops unique technology including software and inks for special artist projects. Amongst these projects are Richard Avedon's last living portfolio in which special archival inks were developed, and Gregory Colbert's "Ashes and Snow" Nomadic Museum exhibitions in which special monochromatic inks and software was developed to produce gigantic photographs on handmade Japanese papers.

Making big Piezography prints on rolls of vintage Harmon Baryta that I found in storage. Just gorgeous stuff. I also found 12 rolls of JonConeStudio Type 5 which is a warmer near equivalent to it. We’ve barely scratched the surface of decades of paper putting back.

Late night check on the darkroom. Big platinum prints days again. Maintaining 65%rH. Paper is acclimating. Tray rockers are adjusted and ready. Chemistry pre-sensitized and PiezoDN calibrated. Darkroom is already at work and I’m off to sleep.
