Here’s my biggest gripe with the 2011 platform in one picture.
Put a 2011 magazine next to magazines purpose-built around 9mm, then put a 9mm and 10mm cartridge beside it. There’s a whole lot of magazine—and consequently grip—being used to house a relatively small 9mm cartridge.
Imagine the 2011 concept built around a magazine with the volume and geometry actually optimized for 9mm from the start. Pssst… this is why so many of you when you drop a magazine from your gun, that pesky loose round goes flying.
