Working from home with a toddler is a gamble.
Sometimes you get an uninterrupted meeting. Sometimes you discover your son has started a new career. 😂
Today I was sitting in on an interview in my role as President-Elect for the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce, Wyatt was quiet, happy, and completely content, so I was able to stay engaged... until I found the source of his entertainment.
Apparently, he'd accepted a full-time position as our household's dog food delivery driver, carefully transporting scoop after scoop of kibble from the storage container into the back of his Cozy Coupe. 🚚🐶
Did it create a mess? Absolutely.
Did I spend part of my morning sweeping dog food out of the garage? Yep.
Would I trade these moments for anything? Not a chance.
A couple of years ago, I stepped away from hospitality and took the leap to build SchultzHaus Social Media because I didn't want to miss these moments. Some are picture-perfect. Others involve a broom and a tiny employee who definitely isn't OSHA certified.
I'm incredibly aware that not everyone gets this opportunity, and I never take it for granted. To every business, nonprofit, and organization that has trusted me with your marketing over the past two years, thank you. You've helped build more than my business. You've helped build a life where I get to witness the beautiful, the chaotic, and yes... the suspiciously quiet moments too.
And for that, I'll happily sweep up every last piece of kibble. ❤️
