We threw a holiday cookie exchange. In August. 🍪

One of our teammates is expecting and mentioned she'd been craving holiday cookies, so the Front Row team did what any reasonable group of people would do: ignored the calendar entirely.

Spritz. Peanut butter with the fork marks. Iced sugar cookies. Plus everyone's other favorites, some homemade, some very proudly store bought. No judgment at this table.

Congratulations, Heather. Sometimes a craving is just a good idea in disguise. ❤️

Twenty years is a long time to stay anywhere. Four people on our team are doing it this year, and then some.

Today we're recognizing the folks who have been building Front Row since before most of our current projects existed:

🏆 Thomas Mitchell, 22 years
🏆 Brian Boyer, 20 years

That's 91 years of experience between four people. Think about what that actually means: the institutional knowledge, the customers they've known for two decades, the newer team members they've trained along the way.

You don't get that from a job posting. You get it from people who chose to stay and kept choosing it.

Some weeks remind you why the team matters.

The past few weeks gave us two: KB's office got a full birthday takeover, decorated with photos from years of Front Row memories by his team. Then Brian George showed up with a cooler of fish he caught himself and threw the team a fish fry.

No agenda, no ask, just people showing up for each other. That's the culture we're proud of.

Give Back Day spotlight: National Field Implementation Manager, Matt Clark!

Matt spent his Memorial Day at the Stillwater Veterans Memorial setting up chairs and tents, running the coffee, Veteran badge, and water stations before the ceremony, and helping pack everything up after.

What do an elected mayor, a Town Hall meeting, and a paid-off business loan have in common?

Fourth graders. 🏙️

At Front Row, every team member gets one paid Give Back Day each year to support a cause they care about. Steve "Yago" spent his at Junior Achievement BizTown in St. Paul, for the third year running.

At BizTown, 4th graders spend a day running a real(ish) economy. They elect a mayor, step in as CEOs of businesses modeled on Minnesota companies like 3M, Polaris, Cargill, US Bank, and Delta Airlines, balance checkbooks, open savings accounts, and take out loans they pay off by selling products and services.

Junior Achievement hosts up to 30,000 students at the lab every year and as Steve puts it: "I get so much out of it. This should be required curriculum in every elementary school."

Day 1 in the books! Last week Katie, Laney, James, CJ, Al, and Brandon rolled up their sleeves for our annual volunteer day with and what a way to spend it. Time was spent working on the exterior of a house in North Minneapolis.

Day 2 coming up and we can't wait. Huge thanks to those of our team that could take the time to volunteer and Habitat for Humanity for the work you do every day to make homeownership a reality for families in our community.

Fun fact for the day: Cinco de Mayo marks Mexico's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 — not Mexican Independence Day, as many assume.

Grateful for a Front Row crew that knows how to celebrate, learn, and stay balanced all in one afternoon.
