Friday, November 4 DO NOT AVOID PROSPERITYDeuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)“But thou shalt remember the Lord thyGod: for it is he that giveth thee powerto get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

Prosperity in the body of Christ is mostoften ignored, rejected, or even despised.The moment a believer getswealthy, that person becomes an objectof insult. Preachers are targeted when they break through the circle of lack and want and start living in abundance and surplus. All this results from wrong teachings and traditions thathave been passed down in the bodyof Christ. These wrong teachings createthe false idea that the more impoverisheda Christian is, the more devout they are. Note, the Bible is very emphatic; scriptures tell us that God is not fond of poverty! Take, for an instant, Proverbs 6:10-11 (AMP) “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a littlefolding of the hands to lie down and sleep – So will your poverty comelike a robber or one who travels (with slowly but surely approachingsteps) and your want like an armed man (making you helpless)”.

Poverty is of the devil that comes to rob you of your peace, joy, health,and your very life, while prosperity comes to establish your joy, peace,health, and fullness of life. When you are endowed with prosperity, itbecomes very easy for you to support the spread of this gospel worldwide. Hallelujah!

CALL TO GREATNESS

Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11 is so powerful that it’s worth reading daily to remind oneself of God’s intentions concerning his children. Most marriages, relationships, friendships and families fall apart because there seems to be a life of suspicion and inadequate disclosure. The scripture for today needs to be read or shown to those who don’t think that a Bible-believing, tongue-speaking, and Holy Ghost-filled Christian should not prosper! For some unexplained traditional reasons, many folks out there think that poverty is equivalent to righteousness and are critical of any Christian with traits of prosperity.

The one speaking in this scripture is God, whose thoughts are carefully worded to remain unambiguous. God had given his blueprint, roadmap,strategy, and design for a Christian’s life, including a “prosperitypackage”. The thoughts and plans of God have prosperity at the very core. Anything contrary to God’s plan is the plan of the devil. God is excited when you become a prosperous Christian as He says in Psalm 35:27, “..Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperityof His servant”. When people are afraid to talk about prosperity, then you know they have not understood what God says about wealth and riches in Christ.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a joint heir with Christ, I am called to greatness, and my. life shall manifest the glory of God who resides in me. Nothing will prevent me from becoming a prosperous Christian in Jesus’ name. Hallelujah

AVOID POINTLESS ARGUMENTS
Titus 3:9 (KJV)“But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies,and contentions, and strivingsabout the law; for they are unprofitableand vain.”

Pointless arguments often occur whenevangelism is happening in big cities.There are people that the evangelism team will encounter with loads of questions,mainly to provoke an argument.The mindset of the person asking the question is to either know genuinely, to prove that they know better than you, ora hidden agenda to debate religious superiority,wanting to showcase that their religion is far more enlightened and better. At the very point of conversation, you should be able to discern whether the discussion is headed in the right direction or is meant for useless arguments, as our scripture for the day points out.

Never be drawn to unprofitable debates or arguments about Christianitybecause they lead to contentions and striving. You should, therefore. be wise as the serpent. Easily detect when a person is very stubborn and argumentative, which is unprofitable. Remember, you are a vessel for the Master’s use; the Holy Spirit will teach you what to say to win over an unbeliever to Christ. At your workplace and other places of frequent meetings, let your lifestyle and the character of Christ in you prove to others around you that you are royalty. The royals don’t just talk uncontrolled. The choice of words,etiquette, decorum, dress code, and mannerism - all sum up your life in totality which will draw people to the Christ in you.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Now is the perfect time to win more souls for Christ. My characterand lifestyle will be a shining example to showcase the Godof Love that I serve. I will never encourage pointless argumentswherever I go, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
