I recently had an incredibly fun opportunity to build a website for Venture Golden retrievers (Tiffany).
Tiffany is a small Colorado Golden Retriever breeder. She has a very impressive History leading back to 2000.
The challenges in this project were so fun. I wanted her website to be different from the normal breeder website, often overpowered by colors that do not go together, Fonts all over the place, little information, even a bad or misused logo.
I wanted the first thing you saw when you went to the page was something that made you feel connection, wanting to see more. I chose to create a short 30 second video that highlighted 3 areas of Venture's passions, and what you'd find on her site. Love. Play. Show. (and of course puppies.)
I created a new new logo, that was inspired by one of Venture's own dogs. I chose font types that read professional and luxurious. I chose 3 different color combinations to go with various color backgrounds. golden brown and black, Black and white, black and black.
My favorite part of the website that I have not seen on other sites is when you are reading about the current and past dogs. Instead of reading a short paragraph about the dog, then scrolling to the next dog (sometimes in a couple areas of the website), I chose for them to all have their own profile.
In their profile, you will get to read about their accomplishments, see their certifications, awards, a gallery dedicated just to them and links to the OFA and K9 website to view their official registration, family history, past and ongoing health screenings.
I am so proud of this site. I absolutely loved working with Tiffany, and learning so much about her dogs, and the passion behind everything she does for them.
