Midweek motivation from one of the greats! This quote is from the first screening of the nature series, Seven Worlds, One Planet in 2019. The 93-year-old offered his advice to a five-year-old in the London audience who asked what he can do to save the planet.

“You can do more and more and more the longer you live, but the best motto to think about is not waste things,” Attenborough replied. “Don’t waste electricity, don’t waste paper, don’t waste food. Live the way you want to live but just don’t waste. Look after the natural world, and the animals in it, and the plants in it too. This is their planet as well as ours. Don’t waste them.”

Southwest Airlines is switching to plastic-free single-use cups for cold drinks and stir sticks. 🎍The company estimates that 1.5 million pounds of single-use plastic will be eliminated by this move annually.

🌿 While plastic-free is a better alternative, we want to see companies put reuse systems back into place so that materials can take a roundtrip instead of landing in the environment as pollution. ✈️
