Special Consensus’ sound is grounded in a deep appreciation and understanding of bluegrass music, incorporating both the drive and harmonies of the traditional sound with the more contemporary sounds and repertoire of today. The band is led by Greg Cahill, banjo player and recipient of the prestigious IBMA Distinguished Achievement Award and inducted into the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America Hall of Greats, and includes the 2025 International Bluegrass Music 2025 MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR Greg Blake , Dan Eubanks, Greg Blake, Brian McCarty, and Dan Eubanks.
