Keep Your Crews Safe & Seen!

Working a long shift on the road or managing a busy school crosswalk is tough enough. You shouldn't have to worry about drivers not seeing you.

That’s why we build the LED STOP/SLOW Paddle right here at Eastern Metal Signs and Safety. By adding active, high-output LEDs to our signs, we give drivers up to 90% more reaction time compared to standard paddles

We know this gear takes an absolute beating out in the field, so we didn't cut any corners on the materials or the hardware:

🔹 The Sign Face: Built with high-impact materials that can take a drop, but lightweight enough to keep your arm from going numb during a long shift.
🔹 The Sheeting: Covered in premium 3M™ retro-reflective material so it shines incredibly bright when headlights hit it.
🔹 The Staff (Pole): Available in 72" or 84" lengths, these ergonomic poles are rugged and built for stability.
🔹 The Connection: Features a heavy-duty, tool-free snap-button lock so the sign head easily clicks into place and stays completely secure.
🔹 The Base: Engineered with a reinforced, impact-resistant mount to absorb the shock of constantly tapping and resting the pole on the asphalt.

Available in classic STOP/SLOW for highway work zones, or double-sided STOP/STOP for crossing guards protecting pedestrians.
Protect your team with equipment built to survive the job site.

Scene Command Begins with Visibility
When an incident occurs, the transition from chaos to a controlled environment depends on how quickly you can establish a safe perimeter. For Fire Chiefs, Sheriffs, and Incident Commanders, responder safety is the non-negotiable priority.

While standard orange signifies a work zone, Fluorescent Pink is the tactical choice for Emergency Incident Management. It provides the immediate, high-contrast visual cue needed to alert motorists that they are approaching an active emergency scene.

At Eastern Metal Signs and Safety, our roll-up signs are engineered for the high-stakes reality of first response:

Rapid Deployment: Engineered to be light and intuitive, pairing perfectly with our Apex stands for a setup that takes seconds, not minutes.

Standardize your scene command. Prioritize responder safety.

Roadside worker safety is getting a much-needed spotlight on Capitol Hill. A new bipartisan bill, the "Safe Roads for Those Who Serve Act," has been introduced in the U.S. Senate to address the alarming rate of injuries and fatalities among those working along our roadways. With over 500 roadside workers having tragically lost their lives since 2020, action is critical.

Data & Accountability: States would be required to improve how they track highway worker incidents and must create dedicated safety plans if incidents increase over a two-year period.

Public Awareness: The bill proposes a national public awareness campaign focused specifically on the safety of roadside workers.

Infrastructure Integration: Major infrastructure grant applications will be required to include robust plans protecting both workers and drivers during and after construction.

Industry Backing: The bill already has strong support from key groups, including the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Towing and Recovery Association of America.

Protecting our first responders, tow operators, and construction crews requires a multi-faceted approach, and this legislation is a major step in the right direction.
