14 years.
That number still feels a little unreal.
Handshake Digital turns 14 today, and this week I asked our team a simple question:
What are you proud of?
The answers were all a little different, but there was a pretty clear theme.
We’re proud of the relationships.
The clients who have trusted us for years. The businesses that have let us become a real extension of their team. The fact that we’ve been able to build strong, lasting partnerships instead of constantly chasing the next thing.
We’re proud of the adaptability.
We work across a wide range of industries, goals and challenges, and our team has gotten really good at learning a business quickly, adjusting our approach and figuring out what actually makes sense for each client.
We’re proud that we don’t settle into “the way we’ve always done things.”
We keep improving our processes. We keep looking at the data. We keep refining how we communicate, how we manage accounts and how we work together.
We’re proud of the work itself.
Helping brands find their personality. Growing audiences. Building campaigns. Driving results. Taking businesses that might seem “boring” on the surface and helping them show up in a way people actually care about.
We’re proud of the recognition we’ve earned along the way — including our GDUSA awards and our partnerships with Klaviyo, Meta and Shopify.
And we’re proud of the team.
People have grown with this agency. Roles have expanded. New skills have been learned. Responsibilities have changed. And through all of that, we’ve maintained a team that genuinely cares about doing good work.
Personally, though?
I think I’m most proud that we’re still here.
Especially after the last four years.
There were times when continuing to run an agency felt harder than building one ever did.
But we kept going.
The team kept going.
Our clients kept trusting us.
And Handshake kept evolving.
There’s still a lot I want to build.
Better systems.
Deeper client partnerships.
Bigger results.
More opportunities for our team.
And an agency that gets stronger every year without losing what made it special in the first place.
14 years down.
Still here. Still building.
And very ready for year 15.
