Not going to sugarcoat this one. We love working with businesses ready to grow, but sometimes we come across a potential client who wants sales overnight from organic alone, has never taken a single photo of their own business, treats deadlines like suggestions, or genuinely could not tell you what they're working toward. We have a process for a reason. It only works if you're actually in it with us.

Sometimes we read a comment and think we are being rage baited. Then we remember not everyone eats, sleeps, and breathes social media like we do. So keep the questions coming, keep us on our toes, that is why we have a job.

I give this advice to our clients all the time, but somewhere along the way, I stopped taking it myself.

You’re so busy running the business, leading the marketing and keeping everything moving that showing the people and personality behind the brand somehow keeps getting pushed down the list.

So, I’m changing that around here.

More behind the scenes. More of our team. More of what’s actually working for our clients. More of the real-life juggle that comes with building a business.

What a first half of 2026 for Radio Island Marina.

Can you believe we’re already halfway through 2026? 🫣

Today, our team is back in strategy mode, mapping out August and September for our clients.

If you’re a business owner, you already know where this is headed…

The minute the calendar flips to July, somehow you’re planning for Q4. 😂

Fall events, holiday marketing, year-end goals, campaigns, promotions… you name it. The businesses that finish the year strong don’t start planning in October. They start now.

So here’s your friendly reminder: if you haven’t started thinking about the rest of the year, now’s the time.

Buckle up. The second half of 2026 is here, and something tells us it’s going to fly by.

A day in the life as CEO of Set Sail.

A lot of people think social media starts with a post. For us, that’s actually the last step.

Today started with saying bye to my boys, then Emely and I headed out for two client shoots. First, we spent the morning capturing content at Piggly Wiggly of Oriental, then headed to Full Service Interior Design by Anna Garner in New Bern for our second shoot of the day.

One thing that makes Set Sail different is that we’re in our clients’ businesses every month capturing content. We’re not pulling from stock photos or trying to piece together a story from behind a computer screen. And we’re definitely not relying on our clients to send us photos and videos. They’re busy running their businesses. That’s our job.

We spend time with the people behind the business, learn what makes them unique, and capture content that’s actually theirs.

Today’s shoots will turn into weeks of content, but first we have to go out and get it.

Just a normal day around here.

You may have spotted a Set Sail hat at the Big Rock scales yesterday! 🎣

Our founder, Jillian, was part of the team aboard the Miss CasSea that took home the KWLA Wahoo Division win with a 50.5 lb wahoo. It was a great day on the water filled with dolphin catches, good company, and an exciting trip to the scales.

We want to wish all the boats fishing Big Rock this week tight lines and safe seas, especially our family, friends, and clients competing in the tournament!

Big Rock is one of our favorite weeks of the year here on the Crystal Coast. You’ll spot some of the Set Sail crew throughout the week capturing content and cheering on our clients and community.
