The Workforce Board Lehigh Valley invites local employers and community partners to attend their first Inaugural Workforce Summit at Lehigh Carbon Community College on Thursday October 22nd from 9AM to 12PM.

The Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce and the Marketing and Communications Advisors of the GLVCC had a wonderful time at Pastries & Press Releases on Tuesday, September 15, bringing local professionals together for a morning of learning, networking, and, of course, delicious treats!

A special thank you to Jaquelyn's On Main for providing the sweet treats and coffee that kept us fueled throughout the morning! 🥐☕

On Tuesday, September 15, liaisons Kylie and Jessica where proud to represent the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber and Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation at the PA State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) Forum in Allentown!

Presenting on “It Starts Local: How Townships Drive Economic & Community Development with the Help of Your Local Chamber,” they focused on the important role municipalities already play in shaping economic and community development, as well as the many ways local Chambers can serve as partners, connectors, sounding boards and extensions of capacity.

From supporting local businesses and revitalization efforts to community events, quality-of-life initiatives, storytelling and regional best-practice sharing, the conversation reinforced one central message: strong communities and strong economies go hand in hand. 🤝

Thank you to PSATS for the opportunity to connect with township leaders from across the region and share how stronger municipal-Chamber partnerships can help move communities forward.
