What I've learned over the last 7 years as a web designer, writer, and strategic marketer for holistic health and wellness businesses...

✸ Part 1 ✸ Most health and wellness businesses I've worked with need help naming what they're actually offering.

Identifying the deeper essence of what you offer - and naming it in a way that considers the psyche of your ideal clients AND your unique insights as a practitioner - is where the juice is at 💦

The in-depth discovery process I facilitate with my clients offers deep discussion that is illuminating and clarifying, for me but especially them. What I'm feeling for is the deep, resonant hum in my body when we land on these gems - and it's this deep resonant hum that your prospective clients should feel when exploring your website as well.

For us soulprenuers, there is an intelligent pacing to a business’ growth — a pace in resonance with “the natural way of things”.

Our ability to show up well long-term, with values intact, is based on us continually:

(1) aligning with the greater vision we’re sourcing from

(2) tending to our own “stuff” that inevitably comes up in work and relationships

(3) deconditioning the way we contribute to oppressive systems, and

(4) becoming ever more embodied in the one who can show up for the vision we are stewarding.

In my experience, this is the path of the conscious entrepreneur — and it’s intertwined with restoring the thriving of all life.

I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with the people behind Kindred Forest, a couple walking their path with such grounded integrity. Their work is rooted in a vision of personal, communal, and ecological renewal — which means they must listen and respond to the land, the community, and their own capacity in ways that restore balance and harmony. I see their pace of growth maintaining integrity, intimacy, trust, and coherence in the vision and work they’re stewarding — and it’s quite remarkable to witness.

This kind of pacing really matters as business owners whose work reaches beneath the surface of things. When our pace is in resonance with “the natural way of things”, we build something that transforms US just as much as it transforms the people and places we serve.

I’m a little embarrassed by the values of the web design industry. I think they’re missing the whole point… As a web designer, I take a different approach rooted in heart, depth, clarity, connection — and hopefully catalyzing each others becoming in service to something much bigger than just ourselves ❣️ Let's keep asking what's most important.

Many of the clients I get to support are visionaries. They’re oriented toward what wants to emerge—a future of possibilities that feel more truthful than the present. Their work is less about fixing problems and more about restoring coherence, integrity, and wholeness.

For visionaries, their services are simply the container through which their values come alive. Their work is deeply relational, knowing that real change often unfolds in relationship.

This year, I had the honor of supporting such a person. Andi from Desired Futures is a strategic advisor and culture shifter who helps mission-driven organizations build cultures of care and accountability. She is committed to cultivating resilient, trauma-informed, values-based workplaces where both people and organizations can thrive well into the future.

Together, we dove deep into her expertise to uncover the core insights that shape her beliefs and inform her approach. These are often the very insights that need to be brought forward in marketing for coaches and consultants—not as slogans, but as orienting truths. They help people recognize what you stand for and how your perspective speaks directly to their challenges. They’re statements that make someone pause and think, I’ve never heard it said quite like that—but it feels deeply true... and is intriguing.

Andi’s work is already deeply embodied and integrated. My role was simply to clarify the most potent through-lines, shape language that carries her knowing and expertise, and position her offerings so they meet her ideal clients where they are—making it easier for the right people and organizations to be drawn into her work and ready to connect.

A share on the journey of becoming ~

7 years ago, I made the leap into starting my own business. So much has unfolded since then—and yet, I notice that the heart of it has remained the same.

From the beginning, I found myself naturally drawn to therapists, wellness practitioners, coaches, consultants, and other solopreneur women who feel their work in their bones. I kept meeting them at a certain threshold of becoming: ready to accurately and meaningfully reflect the essence of what they do and why in this current evolution of their journey.

Along the way, I learned that I’m highly organized, creative, strategic, an excellent listener, and that I have to genuinely believe in the deeper mission of the work I'm supporting, otherwise my fulfillment falls flat.

While supporting 70+ businesses over this time, I found that I didn't really have to market my own. And thank goodness because shining my own light professionally feels like a struggle. (Thanks to my Chiron in Leo in the 10th house, for my astrology friends who know.)

Although I’ve felt the pull to refresh my own brand and website for a while, and I decided to lean into this discomfort. I want to honor this meaningful journey I am walking with integrity and alignment, and continually meet my own growth edges as they become visible.

What I do and why hasn’t changed—but who I am within it continues to deepen into truth. Put simply, my work is an exploration of how essence takes form. I hold space with presence and inquiry—listening for who my clients really are, what they really offer, and why. Then I translate that into strategy, writing, design, imagery, and tech systems on the web.

This process brings great clarity and empowerment because having someone reflect you back to yourself—and articulate the truth of your work in a way that resonates in a marketing-friendly way is difficult to do alone.

As you can see, my work is much more than just web design. It’s a way of catalyzing each other’s becoming in service to personal healing, collective liberation, and cultural renewal. With this refreshed brand and website, I’m honoring my work and my artistry as sacred.

May this threshold usher in the next chapter of my own becoming, just as I support my clients in theirs.
