🐾 Sometimes the biggest challenge standing between a dog and good judgment is… absolutely nothing.

In “Impulse Control: Canine Nemesis,” one middle-of-the-night barking session leads to a hilarious look back at the questionable decisions our dogs make when instinct says, “DO IT!” and common sense never gets a vote.

There’s Daisy patrolling the windows and sounding the alarm at 3 a.m. over a possible bear.

There’s Markus, the black Lab who encountered skunks on multiple occasions and somehow never concluded that perhaps the striped creatures should be left alone.

And then there’s Toby.

Sweet chocolate Lab Toby, whose dedication to “prewashing” dishes ended with his collar caught on the dishwasher rack, a trail of broken dishes across the kitchen and one dog forever convinced the dishwasher had personally betrayed him. 😂

🥬 We need to talk about lettuce.

For far too long, lettuce has enjoyed an elevated position at our tables that, frankly, it may not deserve.

Stephen Knapp has had enough.

In “Addressing a Grave Injustice,” he makes the case for the leafy green that SHOULD be wearing the crown: cabbage.

Lettuce? According to Knapp, “has no flavor, unless apathy is a flavor.”

Cabbage, meanwhile, is “a matador—brash, resolute, self-assured, and fearless in its purpose.”
