How much were the GEMS worth at the end of The Goonies?? ..........................................................
Tens, if not hundreds, of millions. The first thing taken into account would be the history, which, in this case (discovered on an intact, famous ship from the golden age of piracy), would drive the value up exponentially. Secondly, the size. The stones presented in the film (diamonds, rubies and emeralds) are massive. Some of them look like they're around the fifty carat mark, and they appear to be flawless. A flawless, fifty-carat diamond, on today's market would fetch around $5-10 million (by itself) without any history at all. I used to deal in precious stones for a living.
