If everything runs through you, nothing scales.

Many founders intend to spend time on marketing strategy, but ex*****on consumes the calendar. Reviewing content, coordinating vendors, and managing follow-up becomes the default. The result is predictable. Strategy never gets the attention it requires.

Here’s the solution: connect with JQ LaCorte to explore how a fractional CMO can help shift your role out of the weeds and back to strategic leadership.

Most firms do not recognize the marketing breaking point until it has already passed.

Founder-led marketing works early on. But over time, it creates friction. Strategic work gets deferred. Ex*****on piles up. And growth becomes inconsistent because no one owns the full system. These are not isolated issues. They are signs of a structural gap.

We have a solution for that. JQLaCorte works for you as a fractional Chief Marketing Officer, filling the strategic gaps and getting your marketing – and your firm’s growth -back on track.

Optimism feels good. Preparedness performs better.

The Stoics practiced the deliberate consideration of failure. Not to be pessimistic, but to reduce shock and improve resilience.

In modern go-to-market teams, this maps directly to the premortem. Instead of asking “How will this succeed?”, disciplined teams ask, “What might cause this to fail in six months?” Broken automations, unclear value propositions, weak enablement—these risks are predictable if we’re willing to consider them early.

Designing for failure doesn’t reduce ambition. It increases survivability.

Contact us before your next launch and we’ll help you run a premortem. The risks you surface now are cheaper than the ones you discover later.

Trust isn’t built by clever copy. It’s built by consistent restraint.

In Stoic philosophy, justice means fairness and contribution to the broader community. Applied to marketing, justice looks like honest messaging, realistic claims, and respect for the audience’s intelligence.

Many organizations treat trust as something to “optimize.” Stoicism reframes it as something to protect. Trust compounds slowly and is destroyed quickly. Ethical shortcuts may lift short-term metrics, but they hollow out long-term credibility.

A Stoic marketing organization treats trust as infrastructure—not decoration.

Review your messaging through a simple lens: does this build trust if repeated consistently for five years? If you are not sure how to do that, give us a call.

Stoicism is often misunderstood as emotional suppression. In reality, it’s about seeing clearly under pressure.

The Stoics didn’t argue that outcomes don’t matter. They argued that confusing outcomes with judgment creates distortion. In marketing, this distortion shows up as overreaction: abandoning positioning after a weak quarter, chasing new tools after one disappointing campaign, or labeling data as “failure” instead of information.

Stoicism teaches the Discipline of Assent: separating objective facts from the stories we tell about them. “The conversion rate was 0.6%” is a fact. “This campaign failed” is a judgment. Removing ego from analysis turns analytics into a diagnostic tool instead of an emotional trigger.

Next time performance dips, ask what the data actually says—and what story you’re adding on top of it. Contact us if you’d like some help in doing so.

If your team’s morale rises and falls with conversion rates, you’re anchoring identity to the wrong metric.

Stoic philosophy begins with a simple but uncomfortable truth: some things are within our control, and many things aren’t. In marketing, teams obsess over outcomes—clicks, conversions, closes—despite the fact that these are shaped by timing, budget cycles, competitive pressure, and internal politics.

What is controllable is ex*****on: clarity of messaging, quality of segmentation, CRM discipline, and consistency of outreach. A Stoic approach reframes success around these inputs. Revenue becomes a lagging indicator of ex*****on quality—not a referendum on competence.

Contact us if you’re thinking about how to best measure marketing performance.

Want to ensure a smooth launch transition?

The best Go‑To‑Market plans don’t stop at launch. They evolve as assumptions meet real advisor behavior, creating repeatable growth engines.

A great analogy is found in NASA. Launch Control is at Cape Kennedy. Mission Control is in Houston. And once the launch ‘clears the tower’, it becomes a mission. You obviously need both, but each one has different objectives.

Keep that in mind for your next launch. To learn more, read our latest article. Link in the comments.

Not 100% certain of the difference between GTM and Marketing plans?

One builds brand credibility and positioning over time. The other earns attention, placement, and usage during a critical launch window.

Is it Marketing or Go to Market?

Launching a new fund, model, or platform capability isn’t just marketing, it’s a coordinated ex*****on challenge.

A Go‑To‑Market plan aligns investment, distribution, marketing, and compliance around one objective: earning real advisor adoption.

GTM plans are more than marketing. Read our latest article to discover the difference between launch and liftoff. Link in the comments.
