Summer break is in full effect. Getting to stay up late, sleep in as long as you want.....BUT....that also means the children are home all day. Do you KNOW what they are doing on line all day.

Get some peace of mine there are a lot of FREE DNS filters that will ensure that the no one is going where they shouldn't. And if you don't want to restrict the ENTIRE house you can make a separate network JUST for them.

When's the last time you changed your password?

Is your password to easy?

Tips for a strong password
1. Spell a word wrong on "porpurse"
2. Take it a step further with special charachters "p0Rp1I12$e"

Just these two steps can make your password infinitely harder for an algorithm to hack.

Well we have made it halfway through the year. Have you checked your network security lately?
Have you changed your guest network password??
What no guest network?
Guests who are on your PRIMARY wi-fi can potentially backdoor to see your personal information on your other local devices that are also connected.

*BEST PRACTICE*
Have a guest network for visitors, and when setting it up if there is an option of AP ISOLATION or GUEST NETWORKING.... SELECT IT. This will keep all your other devices safe from malicious activity as well.

HAVE YOU CHANGED YOUR PASSWORDS LATELY?

If you have to say "ummm...." when asked the last time you changed your password. Its been too long.

The longer you have the same password the longer "cracking" software has to figure it out.
