Tomorrow, the state sales tax on groceries goes to zero. Starting May 1 through June 30, Alabamians will keep more of their money every time they visit the grocery store. Alabama House Republicans are proud to deliver this relief to families across our state.

🍔 Good Food, Great People, Bigger Purpose 🍺

We spent Friday night at the Legacy Network Social, an evening filled with amazing food, business networking, and genuine community spirit. The event served as a food drive supporting Sea Glass Initiative Inc., a local nonprofit serving unhoused residents across Baldwin County.

A huge thank-you to our friends at Bier Shack Tap Room in Foley for hosting such a meaningful and energizing night.

And of course… we couldn’t leave without tasting a couple of their incredible burgers:

🔥 The Axe Burger ($13.99)
Hand-patted burger topped with smoked pastrami, Swiss cheese, a cooked-to-order egg, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, and Axe Sauce — all on a sesame bun. Stacked, savory, and absolutely delicious.

🔥 The Frito Pie Burger – Weekly Special ($13.99)
Hand-patted burger topped with chili, melted cheese, and a pile of crunchy Fritos. Holy cow… this one is next-level.

Between the food, the people, and the purpose behind it, it was an awesome night supporting a great cause.

💬 Here’s your question of the week: Which one are you trying first — the Axe Burger with the egg and pastrami, or the Frito Pie Burger with that chili crunch?

Meet our Featured restaurant for November: The Bull

The initial concept for Spanish Fort’s The Bull was somewhat different from what Tony Cordell and his wife, Mo (Maureen), had
originally envisioned. Although a few curveballs have come their
way, they’ve managed to lay the foundation for what Spanish
Fort truly wanted — a welcoming gathering place for the com-
munity.

This past spring, however, the future of The Bull looked uncertain. It became apparent that if things didn’t improve quickly, the restaurant might have to close its doors. Setting pride aside, Tony reached out to the community with humility through a heartfelt Facebook post asking for support.

What happened next was a true testament to the power of social
media — and to what a compassionate community can accomplish. The response was overwhelming, both emotionally and physically, as customers poured in to help this struggling establishment stay afloat. “We just had to let people know we were here,” says Cordell.

Through this experience, Tony and Mo have met countless kind people who rallied to help The Bull succeed. Many customers have since become friends, united by their desire to see this restaurant thrive. Even the mall management has shown tremendous support along the way.

Behind the scenes, Chef Landon Linehan brings incredible passion and skill to the kitchen. He discovered his love for cooking early in his career, learning under talented mentors at the Grand Hotel. Landon truly enjoys feeding people and has crafted a menu built on quality ingredients and flavors that complement each other beautifully.

He takes great pride in everything that leaves his kitchen, instilling that same attention to detail in his team. His focus on consistency and the use of high-end ingredients shows in every dish — and he’s at his happiest when showcasing his culinary creativity.

The menu at The Bull offers something for everyone. Not sure what you’re in the mood for? No problem! Appetizers range from fried snapper bites and BBQ nachos to lobster arancini. Their smash burgers come in styles from basic to gourmet, all made with Black Angus beef — or try the vegetarian “No Bull” garden burger.

Signature pizzas include The Matador, featuring ground beef, pepperoni, bacon, bell pepper, and red onion, along with options like a white pizza or classic cheese and pepperoni. Each is made with a brushed garlic oil crust and can be customized to your liking.

Coastal seafood lovers won’t be disappointed with The Bull’s Seaside Tacos (fish or shrimp), po’boys, shrimp platters, and snapper sandwiches. Lighter fare includes wraps and signature salads, ensuring there’s truly something for every palate.

The Bull also offers a daily lunch special and celebrates Happy Hour from 3–6pm with food and drink specials. Stop in and experience what The Bull is all about for yourself! Open daily from 11am to 9pm, located in the Eastern Shore Centre, Spanish Fort.
