We are proud to celebrate a major milestone: Over 100 packaging items have received APR Design® Recognition through the Preferred Design path!

In just two years since it launched, 48 companies have earned recognition for more than 108 items through the Preferred Design path, validating packaging and components designed to work in today’s North American recycling system.

Preferred Design is one of three pathways within the APR Design® Recognition Program. While each path has its own criteria, they all validate the same core achievement: that a package or packaging component meets the highest criteria for recyclability, as outlined in the APR Design® Guide.
