NXT Media is proud to have been a part of making Unearthing Ogawa, a film by Steve Meixell.

An American finds a dead Japanese soldier in a battlefield cave and tries to return the man’s diary to his Tokyo family after the war. Decades later, the American's son retraces the footsteps, finds out what happened, and meets the Ogawa clan today. Part history, part travelogue, part memoir, Unearthing Ogawa brings the past alive with surprise twists and unexpected discoveries.

The film has been playing and replaying around the country since early November. It is also scheduled for this spring during Asian Pacific American month, Memorial Day, and Father’s Day, and the upcoming Tokyo Summer Olympics if they are held.

Unearthing Ogawa is airing on WXXI this Thursday night, January 14th @ 8 PM, then repeated twice on Saturday, January 16th @ 2 AM and at 4 PM.
