π¨ Important Update for Our Website Clients π¨
Hey everyone β we wanted to let you know about a recent security update that may affect how some websites load.
π Why this happened:
One of our shared hosting servers experienced a DDOS attack from hackers and the original server IP had to be replaced to keep things safe and stable.
π What changed:
Weβve reassigned the server to a new IP address. Because of this, some websites may temporarily show a security warning or seem unreachable until their DNS records are updated.
π Security certificates (SSL):
Modern browsers rely on SSL certificates to confirm a site is secure (you know β the βπβ in your browser bar). When an IP changes, certificates sometimes need a moment to reauthorize and renew.
π What this means for you:
If your domain is using our nameservers, no action is needed β the update happens automatically.
If your domain uses third-party DNS (like GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.), your A record needs to be updated to the new IP so your site continues to resolve correctly without interruption.
π Once the DNS is updated:
β’ Your site will begin coming back online
β’ Security certificates will revalidate
β’ The βsecureβ padlock will reappear in browsers
