When was the last time you really reflected on your work, celebrated your accomplishments, or intentionally recalibrated your marketing efforts?

I’ve planned a morning for you to do exactly that — with a little help from me and your peers in the design industry.

Join us on Wednesday, December 6th from 10 AM - 1 PM in Garden City, NY for a morning of guided reflection, helpful exercises and intentional connection-building. Leave feeling grounded, reinvigorated and proud of your accomplishments.

It’s been a month since the retreat. Staying at the Mountain House I got to experience first-hand the connection between home and nature that so many of my architecture clients create in their work. It is truly good for the soul.

A good piece of content is like a great wardrobe item — you should be able to mix and match it with a number of other pieces. I recently wrote a blog post about claiming and maintaining your Google My Business Listing in order to improve your business' ranking in local search results. After re-reading it, I decided to take my own advice and repurpose it as a Google Business Post. After a few minor adjustments to the copy (i.e. getting the character count under 1500 and removing hyperlinks and restructuring the sentences they appeared in accordingly) and resizing the blog graphic to the Google's preferred (thank you, Canva's "magic resize" feature), I was ready to post! I'd already posted about it to Instagram, now I'm using it for content here on Facebook and next up is LinkedIn. If you're promoting your business on multiple digital platforms, I encourage you to revisit your favorite pieces of content and brainstorm how they can be repurposed on other platforms or reframed to post again on the same platform for those who may have missed it the first time. You may find it's easier than you think!

I’m a firm believer in the power of organic SEO. One of the easiest ways to improve your local Google Search results ranking is also the simplest — take ownership of your Google My Business listing. It’s easy, it’s free, and it helps improve your business’ local ranking in search results. ...

If you have a commercial property on Long Island that is in need of an upgrade, you need to watch this video featuring my brilliant client, Diana Lillo of ID Unique Solutions DBA InspireDesign
"I really enjoy seeing a space where a client's looking to elevate it and they just don't know what to do next. Cosmetics upgrades are kind of our thing. You know, any type of commercial property because you go in there, you're working with the walls you're working with — how can you elevate? How can you bring new life, new energy? That's the challenge that I love."

“I’m hopeful that we’re getting closer and closer to a day when naming a firm, whether it's after oneself or something else, implies nothing but intelligence and ability regardless of implied gender, race, or ethnicity.”

By Kate Reggev If you’re addicted to podcasts (raises hand), you may be familiar with NPR’s popular How I Built This podcast. And you might even remember the first episode , where Sarah Blakely, founder of women’s undergarment company Spanx , talks about her journey starting the busines

Helping Designers and Small Business Owners in the Home and Interiors Space Market Themselves with Clarity and Intention

You love what you do. You want your business—whether it’s an interior design firm, an accessories line, or a local boutique—to be as successful as possible, but you struggle to find time to plan and execute your ideas. You wish there was someone you could bounce ideas off of, someone who would give you their honest, unbiased opinion, someone with an understanding of digital marketing and the trained eye of a seasoned editor who could guide you...

Nice to meet you. My name is Kim Healy and I help small business owners and creative entrepreneurs like yourself get clear on your brand's messaging and create a strategic plan for you to get the most out of your marketing efforts. I take an objective look at everything you're currently doing and everything you're hoping to achieve—then I edit. When I'm done, you’ll be working smarter, not harder—with the work-life balance to prove it.
