Corena H. Communications partnered with Infoblox's Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion to present an annual Juneteenth program. June is Black Music month and this year's program featured Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award gospel recording artist Fred Hammond.

Zafar discussed Juneteenth and the power of music. Fred shared his songs that would have most likely gave inspiration to the enslaved people in Texas on June 19, 1965 (two and a half years after the Emancipations Proclamation was issued).

Corena H Communications kicked off the month of February serving as project management/liaison of Infoblox’s Black History Month celebration.

In partnership with Infoblox’s Black Employee Resource Group, this year’s celebration recognizes the role Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) play in creating Black excellence.

To kick off the BHM activities, Infoblox announced a $189,000 in-kind plus cash donation to the computer science department of Fisk University. The program includes 22 Fisk students, who are receiving 60-hour instructional training in DNS security and, upon completion, can earn a digital certification.

As a proud Fisk Alum who has a Morehouse College grad and forthcoming Morgan State University grad, I know and appreciate the importance, power, connection and education of HBCUs!
