An educational piece of Important Medicare Information: Upcoming Annual Enrollment Period.
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 to December 7. This period offers beneficiaries the opportunity to review, compare and update coverage.
According to recent data, individuals who transition from a Medicare Supplement plan, to a Medicare Advantage plan report twice the level of satisfaction compared to those making the reverse switch.
Medicare plans are subject to change annually—often without the plan holder having full understanding of updates. In many cases, new plans offer improved benefits, making it essential to conduct a thorough annual review.
Choosing whether to remain with your current plan or switch to one with enhanced benefits requires careful consideration—especially if you wish to retain your current network of providers.
Each ZIP code offers a wide array of plans. Determining which plan best suits your needs can be challenging. Many plans and benefits offered in one zip code are not always offered in another zip code.
Moreover, individuals diagnosed with conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dementia, autoimmune disorders, or end-stage renal disease may qualify for additional benefits—yet many are unaware of these options.
When it comes time to utilize your Medicare coverage for diagnostic tests, surgical or dental procedures, are you confident in what your plan will cover? Are you certain you have the most comprehensive benefits available without conducting an annual review?
It is important to note that Medicare Supplement plans do not include coverage for dental, vision, hearing, or prescriptions. If you wish to retain your supplement plan and add any of these benefits, separate policies for each are required. I can assist you in securing these additional coverages to meet your needs. This is the only time of year when such changes can be made with a Medicare supplement plan.
Medicare Advantage plans, on the other hand, typically include all benefits—prescription coverage, dental, vision, and hearing—and most always come with no monthly premiums. Advantage plans feature maximum out-of-pocket limits, ranging from $2,000 to $9,000. Many supplement plan holders will spend a similar amount on premiums, or more as a maximum out of pocket limit, depending on the supplement plan, and it’s monthly premium that are paid, in addition to the required monthly premium of Medicare B withheld from Social Security Checks.
Part B premiums will be $185.00 monthly beginning January, 2026. Supplement plan beneficiaries never consider this, as they have never been advised.
Did you know that you may have the opportunity to have an insurance company to cover part, or all of the $185 monthly Medicare premium, deducted from Social Security checks in 2026?
If you answered “no” to any or all of the questions above, your current agent may not be providing the level of service and education you deserve. You need a knowledgeable and dedicated professional to guide you. Navigating Medicare alone is like setting sail without a captain.
If you do not currently have a personal Medicare agent—someone you can contact year-round with questions about upcoming procedures or coverage—I would be honored to serve in this role.
Medicare is vast and complex. Beneficiaries should not rely solely on telephonic agents who may call dozens of times daily during this season, often lacking awareness of the extra benefits you may qualify for. Then, when a need arises, you may not be able to reach them to help you. This is a stress riser and can be completely avoided and removed.
With my guidance, you can avoid confusion and ensure your coverage is optimized. I am here to be your trusted advisor, ensuring everything is in place when Medicare needs arise.
