There are many benefits to understanding and implementing product variations, but it can be a somewhat difficult task. Although it might be confusing, understanding variations is very important to your success on Amazon!

So what is a variation?

"Variations (also known as parent-child relationships) are sets of products that are related to one another in terms of size, color, flavor, etc. Good variation relationship listings allow buyers to compare and choose products based on different attributes such as size, color, or other characteristics from the available options on a single product detail page."

Did you know that you can contact buyers who leave a negative review?

Sellers used to comment on the reviews directly on the product page. But in December of 2020, that feature was retired. In June of 2021, Amazon added a new feature where brands can contact the buyers who left "critical," 1-3 star comments. This feature is only a benefit of joining the Amazon Brand Registry.

An Amazon restricted product is any product that Amazon either doesn’t allow sellers to list at all or requires Amazon's approval. This includes products that face legal restrictions in some geographic areas and certain safety requirements.

For sellers, that means you have to be careful that nothing you list could get them (or you) into trouble. If you do list a restricted product without the right permissions, intentionally or not, it could impact your ability to continue selling on the platform.

2. Don't go too overboard with information, it's supposed to be easy to digest
3. Incorporate a lifestyle background (with at least one picture)

Think about if you were searching for a specific product. Would you click through to the second page? Most likely not.

So what does this mean for those that sell on Amazon? If your product image and listing aren't appearing on the first page, then you are missing potential sales.
