Ten years deserves a lot more than a cupcake, but it’s a start! 🧁🥳

Today we're celebrating Lyndsie’s 10-year anniversary at Letterpress. Turns out, classrooms are kind of our thing.

The questions are thoughtful. The conversations wander in the best ways. And someone always says, "I've never thought about it like that before."

That's been our summer.

🌄 In Marion, Alex led a storytelling workshop for nonprofit leaders at the Wayne C Henderson School of Appalachian Arts in partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, the Chamber of Commerce of Smyth County, Inc. and Smyth County Community Foundation.

🤝 In Danville, Jenn kicked off the Danville, VA - Government's Can You Reach Me Now? Holiday Campaign Lab, helping local businesses build stronger marketing strategies for the holiday season.

🤖 In Farmville, Jess launched this summer's Farmville Area Chamber of Commerce Marketing Lab with a hands-on session exploring practical ways businesses can use AI to save time, including a session on how to build a Custom GPT.

And we're not done yet. We'll be back in Danville every Tuesday this month (including tonight!) talking budgets, content creation, AI and more. And we'll be back in Farmville next month for a session on smarter social media.

If you're joining us, come say hello! We'd love to meet you.

Ronda and Alex had a great time at the 7th annual Celebrate Tourism Summit this week! They joined destination marketers, community champions, and tourism professionals from across the region who gathered to share ideas and celebrate what makes Southwest Virginia worth exploring.

As a proud sponsor, we also had the chance to introduce Letterpress and talk about how we help communities uncover, shape, and share the stories that make them memorable.

Thanks to Visit Wytheville, Virginia is for Lovers and Southwest Virginia for bringing everyone together. We left inspired (and with a few new ideas of our own). 😊

Confession: We have a soft spot for rooms full of people who care about rural communities.

That's why Jenn had such a great time last month at Locus' 20th anniversary celebration in Martinsville. There was plenty of talk about housing, workforce and entrepreneurship — but even more conversations about what's actually working in Southern Virginia.

That's the kind of networking we can get behind.

Happy 20th to Locus! Thank you for bringing community builders together.

Now it's your turn: Who's doing great work in your corner of Virginia? Give them a shoutout. 👇

One of our favorite job titles? Intern.

Last Thursday Jenn joined employers, educators and students at Virginia Intern Day, where Letterpress was honored to be recognized by State Council of Higher Education for Virginia as a 2026 Top Virginia Employer for Interns.

For us, internships are all about investing in people. Our interns contribute to real client work, bring fresh ideas to the table and challenge us to think differently. And the best part? Many continue working with us long after their internships end.

Congratulations to SCHEV on another successful Virginia Intern Day, and to all of the interns helping shape Virginia's future. We're grateful for the recognition and proud to play a small part in developing the Commonwealth's next generation of talent.

We all started somewhere. What's one lesson you learned during your first internship or job?

Working remotely has so many perks: a cozy home office, flexible scheduling…and the occasional lunchtime logging session! 🌳💪

When a tree limb came down, COO Lyndsie used her lunch break to clear it out of the way. Productive? Check. Fresh air? Check. Unexpected workout? Also check.

Sometimes the best break from the computer is one that gets you moving.

What do you do while working from home? Unhinged answers only!
