This morning, I had the pleasure of attending a presentation by Megan Eisinger, highlighting the mission of Children's Mentoring Connection of Hancock County. Megan shared powerful insight into the impact mentorship has on children and the many different ways individuals can get involved and make a difference through CMC. It was a meaningful reminder of how much one consistent mentor can change a child’s trajectory.

My husband and I ventured to Lima for lunch at Lima Social House and it absolutely did not disappoint. Since Winans Coffee & Chocolate was right next door, a coffee stop was obviously necessary before heading over to GRAND AVE Treasures, where we met Donna, the sweetest owner ever. I ended up finding the prettiest little candy dish that just had to come home with me.

The food, the coffee, the conversations, the unique finds, and the people behind it all make these small adventures so meaningful. There’s something really special about supporting places built with passion and heart.

Most business owners don’t struggle with marketing. They struggle with visibility. Why is it so uncomfortable to show your face or talk about what you do? For a lot of people, it comes down to fear of judgment, fear of saying it wrong, or just not feeling “ready.”

But the truth is, customers don’t connect with perfect. They connect with real. And staying in your comfort zone keeps your business invisible. Growth starts the moment you decide to show up anyway.

Last week, I had the pleasure of serving as a “Shark” and judge for an 8th grade Shark Tank competition at Bluffton Middle School. Watching these students bring their business ideas to life was incredibly impressive. They spent time researching, planning, and building presentations that reflected real creativity and determination. Standing in front of community members and confidently sharing their ideas showed just how much effort they put into the project. It was inspiring to see the pride they had in their work and the confidence they carried while presenting it. The future is bright with students like these stepping into leadership and entrepreneurship at such a young age.

Had the pleasure of supporting our friends’ new business tonight and wow… Pizza Arcadia in Bluffton is where it’s at! The inviting atmosphere, fresh ingredients, and attention to detail were top notch. If you haven’t checked them out yet, give their social pages a follow for hours and new menu items so you can plan your visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Supporting our local youth and investing in their future is something that means a lot to me. This morning, I had the opportunity to help Raise the Bar host mock interviews for juniors from local area schools, and it was inspiring to hear what these students have already accomplished and learn more about the passions and goals they have for their future. Our community has some incredible young people coming up, and I’m excited to see where life takes them.

Discipline is the part of marketing that does not look flashy, but it is what actually builds something that lasts. It is showing up when no one is reacting yet, posting when it feels repetitive, and staying consistent long enough for people to start noticing the work you have been doing all along. Trends will come and go, but discipline is what keeps your business moving forward when everything else feels uncertain.

I never thought “presenter” would be part of the job description, but here we are. 🙂 I’ve had the chance to speak to networking groups, chambers, groups of women, and now I get to add schools to that list. Each experience has been a reminder that sharing what I do is just as important as doing it.

A big thank you to McComb Elementary School for inviting me in to talk about the different parts of marketing. I hope the students had fun with the interactive game and walked away with a better understanding of what really goes into marketing a business. I truly appreciate the opportunity and being thought of for moments like this.

A fresh look was long overdue, and this one fits. When a team lives and breathes scarlet and gray, a blue logo just didn’t make sense anymore. This rebrand was more than a new design, it was about finally aligning their identity with who they are every day.

Instead of a simple logo reveal, we leaned into what makes this team stand out. Personality, energy, and a willingness to have a little fun. The result is a reel that feels like them while still clearly sharing the big news.

This is the part of my job I love most. Bringing a brand to life in a way that actually reflects the people behind it and telling that story in a way others can connect with.
