There’s more than one way to get your business in front of people, and the right mix is different for every brand.

Maybe that’s social media. Maybe it’s a billboard, a radio ad, sponsoring a local event, getting involved in the community, volunteering your time, sending out an email, or simply showing up where your customers already are.

Good marketing isn’t about doing everything. It’s about finding the things that make sense for YOUR business, your audience and your goals, then showing up consistently.

The goal? Make sure people know you’re there, remember you when they need what you offer, and feel connected to your brand along the way.

There’s a lot to be said for prioritizing community over competition.

I recently had the honor of working alongside Gideon Fisher at StandOut Creative Studio on a project for a shared client. I helped with an off-camera task so Gideon could focus on working his absolute 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 filming. 🎥

People are often surprised to see two marketers collaborate because they assume we’re competing for the same space. In reality, every marketer has different skills, niches, and connections that we can use to help our clients succeed. I specialize in social media, Gideon excels at videography, and other friends and preferred vendors of mine offer strategy, web design, paid advertising, and event planning.

When several different marketers work together, we’re able to create even better results for our mutual clients.

On the last day of summer break this kid asked if he could volunteer with me at the annual Findlay•Hancock County Chamber Golf Outing. Of course I said yes! He helped run the challenge at the hole and enjoyed complimentary burgers/sodas at 10AM. 🤪

Stepping away from the office today and into the superhero headquarters at the Proforma Customer Show 2026! 🦸‍♀️

My good friend Britlynn was one of the many incredible people behind this event, and boy, did they knock it out of the park! Promotional swag was everywhere, goodies were flying, there was a hot lunch, a candy bar, and SO many fun things to see. It was an awesome opportunity to step away from the office, get inspired, and see what’s new in the world of promotional products.

This show was AMAZING, and I’m already excited to bring some of these ideas to life for APM Marketing.💥

Working from the car today during my son’s private golf lesson. This is one of those little moments that reminds me why I started my own business. Not because I wanted to work less. 🙃 I actually work way more than I ever did in my former 9–5. But I love having the flexibility to work around my life, be present for the things that matter, and build a business that fits into my priorities instead of constantly working around someone else’s schedule.

It’s definitely not always easy, but I’m incredibly grateful for this kind of freedom. 💻
