The unique digital work of artist/illustrator Robert Burger is currently featured in a solo art exhibition at the Pop-up Art Gallery at 135 Main St. in Flemington until Aug. 11.

Burger's current series of digitally created paintings are based on the theme of Magical Musical Animals. His style has been described as painterly cartoon surrealism and his works of art are created using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software. Burger teaches illustration, graphic design, and 3D animation at Rider University, Southern New Hampshire University, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and Middlesex County College.
Throughout his career Burger has created illustrations for a wide range of clients and is well known for designing the logo for "Conan the Barbarian" and the covers of the "Chief Inspector Morse" books. He is the recipient of a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Design Grant Award in Illustration and his work has been included in exhibitions at the Society of Illustrators of New York, the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, the Art Directors Club of Philadelphia, etc. His designs have been featured in Print's Regional Design Annual, the Graphic Design Annual, and in numerous books on Adobe Illustrator software.
