Struggle to Sound Music

Struggle to Sound Music From Struggle to Sound Music is where pain meets purpose. Rest in the arms of Jesus our beautiful Amanda By Tamra J. Writing has been my therapy.

Through every lyric, we share stories of love, loss, faith, and healing—turning life’s hardest moments into music that speaks to the soul. Minehart

I began singing at the age of five, but I didn’t begin writing music until after my daughter, Amanda L. Hagan (Morgan), passed away on May 17, 2024. Songwriting became a way to survive—to breathe when the air felt heavy—and to turn grief into somethin

g that could be felt instead of carried alone. What began as pain slowly transformed into purpose, giving my heart a place to speak when words alone were not enough. This space is where I share that journey—music born from love, loss, healing, and truth. Every song is a piece of my story, written not for perfection, but for honesty. Sound has become my voice. I am deeply grateful to my husband, Jason G. Minehart, whose love, encouragement, and assistance in both writing and editing helped bring these songs to life. His support has been a steady presence throughout this journey. Thank you for listening. Thank you for walking beside us. Thank you for traveling with us on our journey.

People often talk about the first year after losing a child. They talk about the shock, the tears, the milestones, and the unbearable pain of facing birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries without them. What they don’t often talk about is the second year.

The second year is when people may assume you’re “doing better.” The truth is, you’re learning how to carry the weight differently. The pain isn’t always as loud, but it still echoes through quiet moments. It shows up when you hear their favorite song, see someone who resembles them, or reach for the phone to tell them something before remembering you can’t.

The second year is learning to live with unanswered questions. It’s learning that healing doesn’t mean forgetting. It means finding ways to honor their memory while continuing to live the life you’ve been given.

If you are grieving the loss of a child, please know that you are not alone. There is no timeline for grief. There is no right or wrong way to miss someone you love so deeply.

If you’re struggling, if you need someone to pray, listen, or if you simply need someone who understands the heartbreak of child loss, please reach out. Sometimes the greatest comfort comes from talking with someone who knows what it feels like to carry this kind of pain.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Some days leave us tired—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. We carry worries about our families, our finances, our health, and the burdens that no one else can see. Yet Jesus never asked us to carry those weights alone.

Tonight, before you close your eyes, take a moment to hand those concerns to Him. The same God who spoke the stars into existence knows every detail of your life. He sees your struggles, hears your prayers, and understands the silent tears you never mention to anyone else.

You may not have all the answers tonight, but you can rest in the One who does. God’s faithfulness is not dependent on your strength. When you are weary, He remains strong. When you are uncertain, He remains steadfast. When you cannot see the way forward, He is already there preparing the path.

Lay your burdens down and trust Him with tomorrow.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for carrying what I cannot. Help me release my worries into Your hands tonight. Fill my heart with peace, my mind with Your promises, and my home with Your presence. Help me rest knowing that You are in control. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love to all & may God give you rest!
