ConferenceDirect is excited to welcome Liz Marson, Global Project Manager!
Meet Liz:
- Boston, MA
- What was your first industry job?
My first official job was on the corporate side, in the Advertising & PR department of a Boston banking institution, producing internal and public-facing events, including sponsorships and celebrity spokesperson events and appearances.
I was fortunate to have had a wonderful internship at a boutique upscale shopping mall in an affluent Boston suburb. There I planned unique monthly exhibitions highlighting Boston's finest art and cultural organizations, as well as weekend jazz concerts in the Mall's famed Center Court.
- What has been your favorite position during your time in the industry?
I have enjoyed the many and various roles throughout my career producing meetings and events of all kinds: from high-profile white glove to celebrity and corporate events, medical education meetings and conferences, marketing campaign events, to social and personal events. Each exposed me to different and valuable facets of this industry. Exceeding expectations is an amazing feeling and always my goal.
- What excites you most about joining CD? I am eager and excited to join this community of planners and this excellent network of meeting and event professionals! Looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate and excel together!
- What skills do you feel will make you successful with ConferenceDirect?
I am a creative, dependable, dedicated, approachable, accountable, honest, and reliable leader.
I am a coachable supportive team member, an asset to any team or organization, finding ways to contribute, raise the bar, and become invaluable.
A master of details, monitor of the big picture (and budget!) and thoughtful collaborator--I am ready to jump in!
