🚔🍻 Craig’s Last Call Hazy IPA – A well-deserved toast to retirement!

We had the privilege of designing Studio Brewworks No. 5, celebrating Craig’s retirement from the California Highway Patrol. Last Call Hazy IPA is a tribute to years of dedicated service, now capped off with a well-earned cold one.

Behind the Label: Duck Whisperer

"During the COVID-19 shutdown, Red Bus Brewing Company faced a challenge. With the taproom closed, beer to-go became the only way forward, and we needed professional can photos for retailers. After multiple rejections of photos taken against a white wall, I stepped in and suggested we mock up the cans instead.

Even though I didn’t know how to do that yet, I jumped at the chance to learn. Using the ducks from my children's book, Daisy and the Dirty Dozen, I created a mock can design. As fate would have it, we had a Pale Ale in the tank that still needed a label, and Erik Schmid, the owner of Red Bus, loved the duck design. He decided to use it—and that’s how one of Red Bus' most popular beers, Duck Whisperer, was born (or hatched... whatever)." - Brian Wallace, Duck Whisperer / Studio Brewworks Artist
