Ok here is
A)Tip #1;
FIRST, decide
How to raise your chickens?
and Basically there are 3-ways;
1) there’s building of the chicken coop; (in which to housed them), they are safer, and No need to worry about them roaming into your neighbors yard.
2) there’s free range; you get to see your chickens roam around and they’re fun to watch. And because they’re in the yard (free range), they get to eat bugs and other healthy stuff.
the disadvantage is the mess (the droppings, plus they scratch up your grass/plants/yards). Also, they are not contained, so they’re vulnerable to foxes and hawks, they’re predators.
3) there’s limited range; you can build a fence around them to help contain them. You get the free range aspect without having them run all over, but it can still happen if your fence isn’t high enough.
So build your fence SUPER-HIGH PLEASE!
the disadvantage is: the chickens are still vulnerable to foxes and hawks during the day. Now think on this posting for a day. I'll be back with another tomorrow. Blessings, George
