Meet the press.
Our dear friend, Barbara Leyendecker, whose paintings grace our office walls, built it eons ago from an old wringer washing machine. From squeeze-drying wet laundry to making art — talk about upcycling.
Taylor (taylor) dusted it off, inked it up, and got rollin.’ This press is imprecise by design. Every variable adds a bit of magic to the mix: paper, plate, ink, pressure, speed. No two prints are alike — and that’s the fun of it.
After some trial and error, we learned how this machine thinks, and what prompts to feed it. Still, the output surprised us.
