Mystics Festival is a craft and food fair with an emphasis in enlisting and promoting alternative spiritual practitioners, services and products. May 8,
9, 10, 11, 2024 at Cedar City Main Street Park, 200 N Main St., from 3-9pm on the 8th and 10-9pm on the 9th, 10th and 11th.

Did you know that many metaphysical arts were once considered “sciences and religions” on the past. In fact all modern religions had their beginnings in what are now considered “Pagan” practices, some still continue to participate in this endeavors under “modern” names, though their ex*****on and function may have changed a little or lot.

One such “metaphysical” practice is in the belief in crystals and their associations with power/energies.

All modern majors religions have at least one if not many beliefs or practices that have a stone of some kind associated them. Some examples are……..

-Catholicism and Amethyst set in crosses and rings.
-Mormonism and the Seer Stone.
-Judaism and the 12 stones in Aaron’s breastplate.
-Islam and the black stone that fell to Adam and Eve.
-Hinduism and gemstones relation to deities, days of the week and planets.
-Buddhism and diamonds and rubies.

On my way from Northern Colorado to Dallas, Texas, to witness the 2024 total solar eclipse, I took a detour through Wheeler, TX. I stumbled across a unique boutique called Guns ‘N Glitter which advertised fi****ms, clothing, and custom merchandise. I was intrigued so I stopped in and chatted with the owners for a couple hours. I was pleased to get a custom mug with our brands on it - It even glows in the dark, which will be handy when I'm camping!
