Being an entrepreneur is like winning the Stanley Cup.

Most people don't watch the game. They may start to care when you make it past the first round of the playoffs. They don't know much about the game. When you lose, they didn't even know hockey was on besides missing the NBA game they really wanted to watch. They will tell you that it's my hometown I am supporting, but yet they don't support those in their hometown. Yet win you win, they are fans and will show up for the parade and to be by the trophy.

Ask them what a Power Play is and what happens if you score with an empty net.

Just like your business, they won't understand much, but they will be there to support the wins when others are watching.

Always thankful for being able to create and be an artist. That dream of being in class with Judy Lynn Broome-Riviere (My favorite teacher and art teacher) helped me craft these skills. I still speak to her through Facebook 27 years later. The Batteau Man by Michael Hall I am responsible for the art but not the mural painting 🙂 Thanks to City of Richmond, VA Government for the opportunity to be a part of history!

Time to illustrate... when you can do what you love, it doesn't mean you always want to do it. Creativity comes in spurts, but discipline is only sometimes the motivator. You have to know your pace. You don't have to explain everything. You don't have to share everything... yet it can motivate someone. It can put you at the top of mind for the next project, but you must be ready to work. Simply put, social media will not be the end of you, nor should it serve as your only outlet.

Desire will only be quenched by natural passion.

A quartet of mediums, ever so bright,
In the dance of design, a splendid sight.

First, the digital canvas wide,
Where pixels play and dreams reside.
Social streams, in constant tide,
Marketing's vessel, in which we ride.

Second, the print, timeless and true,
A tactile whisper from me to you.
Ink and paper, a classic view,
A tangible story, forever new.

Third comes the visual, bold and grand,
A moving image, a vibrant land.
Film and graphics, hand in hand,
Crafting tales that truly stand.

Fourth, the spoken word, a rhythmic grace,
Echoing in the market's embrace.
Podcasts, speeches, a lively space,
Voices entwine in a harmonious race.

Four mediums, four quarters in play,
In life and business, they light the way.
