Meet John Cathey, Bombshell’s Technical Designer.

John works at the intersection of design and fabrication, translating creative concepts into the detailed drawings and 3D models our shop uses to build custom environments and installations.

Since joining Bombshell in 2022, his work has touched nearly every project that moves through the studio. From branded activations to large-scale builds, John helps ensure ambitious ideas remain visually compelling while also being practical to fabricate.

He is also Bombshell’s in-house expert in 3D printing, producing both prototypes and finished components used in client-facing installations.

John grew up working alongside his father in carpentry, where he developed an early appreciation for how materials behave and how things are constructed. That hands-on foundation continues to shape the way he approaches design and problem solving today.

John is also a proud father to a young daughter who enjoys drawing and he encourages her creativity with the same curiosity and hands-on spirit he brings to the work moving through Bombshell’s shop.

Behind every seamless experiential build is serious operational muscle, and at Bombshell that strength is led by Linda Faye Smith.

As Director of Operations, Linda brings more than a decade of global Broadway touring leadership to her role. Her career also spans operational oversight for multiple Super Bowls, US Open Championships, Ryder Cups, PGA tournaments, Formula 1 events, and major television productions at Warner Bros. and CBS.

She oversees purchasing, contracts, compliance, payroll, IT coordination, vendor management, and global crew logistics, ensuring every system supports ex*****on at scale.

Bombshell teamed up with Early Spring for ARMRA at the Miami Open to build a locker room inspired environment rooted in performance and resilience. Drawing from the ritual and intensity of tournament play, we translated that energy into a clean, high impact brand moment centered on strength and recovery.

Athletic authenticity met elevated materials to position a colostrum wellness brand exactly where it belongs, inside the culture of competitive sport.

Meet Monique Dalley, one of Bombshell’s Producers and a driving force behind some of our most complex and meaningful projects.

With degrees in Stage Management and Technical Theatre from the University of Miami and years producing entertainment projects for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises, Monique brings a deep respect for process, communication, and craft to everything she does. Today, she leads work across fine art services, experiential fabrication, and installations that demand care, precision, and integrity.

She believes art and justice are inseparable and approaches her work with confidence, humor, and a whole lot of heart. We’re lucky to have her on our team!

At Sport Beach 2025 in Cannes, Bombshell partnered with TEAM to create an art piece that blends craftsmanship, storytelling, and a touch of South Florida spirit. What began as a sneaker became a coastal sculpture, finished in hand-hardened sand and crowned with TEAM’s signature flag.

A space designed to hold presence and earn recognition.

During Miami Art Week at the SCOPE Art Show, Bombshell partnered with J.P. Morgan Chase Sapphire Reserve to create a sculptural lounge environment balancing architectural rigor with cultural resonance. Spanning 7,500 square feet and built on a six-week timeline, the Sapphire Lounge became a destination in its own right, receiving an Honorable Mention for Best Festival Activation at the 2025 Experience Design Awards.

Confronting history that must never be forgotten.

At the CODAworx Summit, Bombshell CEO Meredith Lasher shared the story of the Replica Slave Dwelling created for the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI).

Commissioned by EJI for its Freedom Monument Sculpture Park, the dwelling stands as a testament to truth and history. This space encourages visitors to confront the legacy of slavery in America.

Designed and built by Bombshell using historic artifacts and research provided by EJI, the project reflects a shared commitment to accuracy, remembrance, and respect.

Watson’s career highlights include:

While he may be slowing down in his senior years, Watson’s devotion to snacks, belly rubs, and team morale is stronger than ever. We couldn’t imagine Bombshell without him. ❤️

Say hello to Madison Absher, Bombshell’s Senior Graphics & Visuals Designer, and the creative force behind many of the visuals you’ve seen across our scenic builds, digital content, and branded environments 🎨💻

A SCAD alum with degrees in Film & Television Production and a concentration in art direction and set design, Madison began her career in hands-on production. That foundation gives her a unique ability to translate creative concepts into visuals that are fabrication-ready, scalable, and strategically aligned.

At Bombshell, Madison leads the design and ex*****on of graphics across experiential activations, ensuring every element, from large-scale environmental graphics to motion content and scenic finishes, reflects both creative intent and physical feasibility.

Her work is shaped by timeless design references, narrative thinking, and yes, her deep appreciation for dachshunds 🐾🎬. Their bold silhouettes and unique personalities remind her that great design is all about character and detail.

Sixty years. Reflected in every detail.

To celebrate Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 60th, Bombshell was tapped by Fresh Tape Media to design and fabricate a cinematic set at the Seminole Hard Rock Grand Ballroom.

This striking build became the backdrop for 25 models from across generations to honor legacy while creating space for what's next.
