Our team members Paola, Crystal, and Arianna were thrilled to be onsite to celebrate our client, Miramar Cove, as they officially broke ground on the 125-acre waterfront destination in West Broward. This development will bring a stunning 5.5-acre swimmable translucent blue water basin, retail, entertainment, and dining to South Florida. You invest in your product, hire the right people, and build out a marketing budget, but if you aren’t taking charge of your public narrative, you’re missing out on one of the most powerful growth tools available. In today's market, staying quiet allows someone else to control your story and reputation.

AI tools make it incredibly easy to flood the internet with generic blogs and social posts. The volume of this content has exploded, but it doesn’t necessarily build credibility. Today, our President Paola Iuspa Abbott is reflecting on what motherhood taught her about business. Eleven years ago, Paola decided to take a chance and build something of her own when her daughter Luna was just two. She had a journalism background, plenty of hustle, and no roadmap for building a company. With the support of her husband, her mom, and her mother-in-law, she took that leap and launched Top of Mind.

In the early days, running the business was relatively easy, until the team started to grow. That’s when leadership became more about understanding people. It’s where the lessons Paola learned as a mother made the difference. In her own words:

• You can’t rush people. Rush a child and you get a meltdown. Rush an adult and they disengage.

• The best decisions aren’t made alone. Kids respond when you meet them halfway, and so do team members.

• Positive reinforcement works. Kids feel it instantly. Adults grow from it and start lifting others up.

• You don’t always know best. Both kids and teams will teach you a lot if you let them.

• And motivation matters. Kids look for their parents’ approval. Adults want to feel respected, valued, and like they belong.

Motherhood changed Paola’s life and she continues to learn from it as Luna has grown into a beautiful teenager.

Between morning classes and sunset volleyball, Alia has been sharpening her skills with us through our internship program at Top of Mind. She spent the day tracking news cycles and building out media lists, turning classroom strategy into professional instinct.

That’s what our internship program is all about. We provide hands-on experience with real client work and deadlines from day one. We’re incredibly proud to have a role in developing the next generation of PR professionals and can’t wait to see where Alia’s career takes her. 🏐📖

Our President Paola Iuspa-Abbott is back from the Legal Marketing Association - LMA International's Annual Conference in New Orleans and came home with a lot to think about. One common topic in conversations with legal marketing professionals was that firms are investing heavily in AI and data, but are still working through how to turn that into real business development results. Her thoughts:

💸 Spending on AI and results from AI are still two very different things.

🖥️ Lawyers need to be visible where clients and AI platforms are actually searching.

⏱️ Even the best ideas lose impact when busy attorneys and competing priorities get in the way.

She also returned with a renewed appreciation for a community that's genuinely willing to share, learn, and grow together. A few days in New Orleans didn't hurt either. 🎷
