I use a simple test every time I help a client choose a promotional product.
I call it the Hotel Room Test.
Picture someone packing up after a conference. Their suitcase is already full.
Would they make room for your promo item?
If the answer is yes, you probably chose well.
If the answer is no, there’s a good chance it ends up in the hotel trash can.
It has nothing to do with price.
I’ve seen inexpensive items pass this test and premium items fail it.
The real question is whether the item feels valuable enough to take home.
