Friends! Our good friend and longtime B-Side patron Mark Meyer has introduced a new concert series— Songs in the City—featuring a terrific lineup of singer-songwriters in intimate performances at the very, very cool Wunderkammer Gallery.

Five shows over five weeks in the deep cold of January and February 2026—these concerts promise to warm ya up with a great vibe that's all about the songs and the connection between writer/performer and audience.

Songs in the City is a series of five singer-songwriter concerts produced by Mark Meyer with media sponsor WBOI and venue sponsor Wunderkammer Company. The series is an homage to The B Side, born and nurtured by One Lucky Guitar founder Matt Kelley.

B-Side alums David Wax Museum have helped shine a light for so many sheltering in place around the globe through their live streams on Facebook. Catch them from their living room—even more intimate than The B!—three times this week: tonight, 8:30PM performing Knock Knock Get Up in its entirety, Friday at 2PM with a fun, family set and Sunday at 9PM with a vibey romantic set. Our lifelong friend Eef Barzelay previewed a few of these songs at his most-recent show at The B-Side; they shook us to our core then, and are even more prescient today. Dig in, and dig deep. This is a brilliant work of art.

(And yes, we're workin' out timing for Eef to come play for us again in the near future. Maybe he'll even bring a friend?)

My fellow humans,

I truly hope this record brings some comfort to you during these unsettling days. The songs were mostly written during a painful and uncertain time in my life so, in a way the timing of it all seems bracingly perfect. We are all being transformed in this pandemic and I'm going to dare to suspect it might be for the better. We are forever on the verge of some hard truth.
