Early this morning, Governor Greg Abbott directed the Texas Higher Education Board to issue a ceast & desist to newly founded Texas American Muslim University at Dallas (TexAM).

Governor Abbott released the following statement:

"I directed the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to issue a Cease & Desist to "TexAM," an unauthorized Islamic educational institution operating illegally in Texas.

If they refuse to comply, legal action will follow.

Texas will not allow illegal educational institutions to operate in our state."

According to TexAM's website, "TexAM University is the first university in the United States to offer STEM degree programs embedded with mandatory courses in Islamic Studies. The university provides specialized programs that integrate modern technology with Islamic principles, empowering students with skills in digital innovation while upholding Islamic values. Our graduates are prepared to excel in diverse fields such as Islamic finance, digital services, and religious education in today’s technology-driven world."

Their academic calender has classes starting as early as this summer.

Governor Greg Abbott has issued a letter to the city of Grand Prairie threatening to pull their public safety grants if they don’t cancel their planned “Muslim-only” water park day that was set for June 1st, 2026.

Governor Abbott released the following statement on X:

"A city-owned water park in Grand Prairie openly advertised a "MUSLIMS ONLY" event -- closed to the general public.

That's religious discrimination. It's unconstitutional. I signed HB 4211 into law -- banning Muslim only no-go zones in Texas.

The City must cancel the event and commit to never allowing something like it again by May 11th, or lose $530,000 in state grants.

Let this be a lesson to local officials: Facilities funded by ALL taxpayers are not just for a subset of Texans."

If Grande Praire doesn’t comply by May 11th, they will be required to repay $530,000 that they received from the state.

Representative Brandon Gill (R-TX) is one of the fastest rising members in Congress.

His current mission? To bring a stop to the mass migration that has overwhelmed Texas, and many regions of America.

Culture and assimilation seem to be the bedrock of his philosophy, and he doesn't believe outsiders from regions like Somalia and India bring any benefit to American society.

Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction.

He’s under NCAA investigation in the wake of the discovery of Sorsby making thousands of bets via a gambling app.

QB Brendad Sosrby recently transferred to Texas Tech for a record $5 million dollars to finish out his collegiate career.

According to ESPN sources, Sorsby bet on Indiana football while redshirting for IU as a true freshman in 2022, a season in which he played in a single game as a reserve.

From Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire: “We love Brendan and support his decision to seek professional help. Taking this step requires courage, and our primary focus is on him as a person. Our program is behind Brendan as he prioritizes his health.”

Statement from the NCAA: "Due to confidentiality rules put in place by NCAA member schools, the NCAA will not comment on current, pending or potential investigations. However, the NCAA takes sports betting very seriously and is committed to the protection of student-athlete well-being and the integrity of competition. The Association works with integrity monitoring services, state regulators and other stakeholders to conduct appropriate due diligence whenever reports are received."

🚨 REP. BRANDON GILL JUST SURGED TO THE FLOOR AND UNLEASHED

10 House Republicans BETRAYED us by voting to give amnesty to 350K Haitians!

"There's roughly 350,000 Haitians covered under temporary protective status in the United States. Of those, an estimated 91% entered this country illegally. 69% came in, an estimated, under the Biden administration."

"In other words, what this bill does is CODIFY open borders of the previous administration that the American people overwhelmingly rejected the last election cycle."

"NO serious country tolerates virtually unlimited numbers of foreigners breaking and entering, and yet that's what this bill does!"

The Texas Rangers are maintaining their tradition of being the only Major Leage Baseball team to not host a pride night during 2026 season.

The Rangers and MLB have released theme nights for the 2026 season, and a night celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community is not in the books, yet again.

What do you make of the Rangers decision to refuse to host a pride night again after mass backlash from the left over the past few years? Let us know your thoughts below ⬇️

🤯 What's happening to our beloved HEB?
HEB is currently receiving mass backlash due to their recent hiring of H1-B visa employees over Native Texans, and for rolling out Crescent Foods (a national Halal meat producer) across multiple locations.

🤔 What is Halal meat?
Halal meat is meat that is prepared according to Islamic dietary laws, meaning the animal must be healthy at the time of slaughter, killed in a specific manner by cutting the throat to quickly drain the blood, and a prayer (invoking God, or “Allah”) is recited during the process; certain animals like pork are strictly forbidden, and the overall goal is to ensure the food is clean, ethically sourced, and permissible (“halal”) for Muslims to consume.

🤷‍♂️ Why are Texans concerned?
Some people believe halal slaughter (especially without stunning) is less humane than conventional methods.

Critics argue the animal may be conscious for a short time after the throat is cut, which they see as cruel.

This concern shows up frequently in public discussions, where people compare it to U.S. standard slaughter methods that usually involve stunning first.

👷‍♂️ Why are Texans concerned about H1-B hires?
Some Texans might be upset about H-E-B hiring workers on H-1B visa instead of local residents because they see it as taking job opportunities away from Texans, especially since there are many qualifed Texans that could fill the role

Many also feel that a Texas-based company should prioritize hiring within the state, instead of hiring individuals from outside of the country.

It is being reported that HEB filed 47 H-1B Labor Condition Applications in FY2025 (and 17 more already in 2026), importing foreign workers for “specialized” tech/analyst jobs instead of hiring American grads, veterans, and talent right here at home.

What do you make of all of the noise? Does HEB deserve the criticism it's receiving from many local Texans?

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has opened an investigation into Lululemon, issuing a Civil Investigative Demand to determine whether the company has misled customers about the safety, quality, and potential health effects of its products. The inquiry focuses on whether Lululemon’s marketing aligns with the actual materials used in its apparel.

Lululemon, a major activewear company that brought in more than $11 billion in 2025, promotes itself as a brand centered on wellness, sustainability, and high performance. However, growing research and consumer concerns suggest that some of its products may contain synthetic substances linked to serious health risks, including hormone disruption, infertility, and cancer.

The investigation will specifically look into whether Lululemon’s clothing contains PFAS—often called “forever chemicals”—which may not be expected by customers who associate the brand with health-conscious values. Officials will also evaluate the company’s chemical safety policies, testing procedures, and supply chain practices to see if they meet its advertised standards.

Paxton emphasized that consumers should be able to trust the products they buy, especially when marketed as safe and healthy. He stated that companies should not be allowed to charge premium prices for products that may contain harmful substances and warned that any violations of Texas law would result in accountability.
