Norm dog and I are on the move (literally).

Later this month we’ll be packing up and moving Victoria & Co. to North Carolina! I’m so grateful for all the clients and colleagues that have turned into dear friends here in Fort Worth, and can only hope to find a community half as good as the one I’ve built here. Fort Worth will always be home!

Now accepting recommendations for all the amazing things to see and do in NC - and if you can send any good connections of other business owners there, I’d love to start making entrepreneur friends to get coffee with!

Still fall in the Fort. 🍁

An announcement from over here in the studio - I’m officially adding web design
services in 2022!

🎉🎉🎉

I’ve been taking on a select few web design clients this quarter to build my portfolio and am excited to share these projects with my new website redesign (coming soon). While it’s taking me a little longer than I had originally anticipated to put everything together for a more formal announcement, I wanted to put it in your ear in case there is any interest for work together in the new year. If you are a past branding client interested in a new website, or are looking at working together in 2022 for both brand and web design, send me a message to be put on a waitlist for more information!

Special shout-out to my copywriter friends who have been my biggest supporters as I venture into the web design world, and . 🥲❤️

Been meaning to add this project to the permanent feed. 🧡 The brand design for . I feel so honored to have worked on this special project with Mariana. Her brand mark demonstrates California poppies in all different stages of life, a sweet representation of the different journeys that the women Mariana works with are on. All beautiful, no matter their current state!

What do you think about the brand Mariana and I put together for her practice? Tell us below! 💕

I’ve been taking a break from posting on Instagram except for the occasional stories, but I’ve come out of hibernation to show off some new brand photos from the amazingly talented . 💕 I had so much fun making a pit stop in Little Rock for these while visiting my brother and sister-in-law in Arkansas! Now to find time to finish up my new website.

Fall is in full swing and so is all the pre-holiday stress. 😂 My design queue is the fullest it’s ever been, and I’m so grateful! This week I sent out a final brand proposal for a florist, revisions for a first round of drafts for a brick and mortar, had a kick-off call for a new branding project with an event venue, and responded to lots and lots of inquiries for some amazing businesses looking to uplevel their brand game for 2022.

With all that said, I’m officially booked for 2021. I’ll be reworking my packages to better serve my clients next year, but rates will be increased. So, if you are hesitating to jump into working together, inquire now to book at my current rates for early next year!

Ps who is else is not looking forward to it getting dark at 5pm next week. 🌚

few years ago I started getting in the habit of documenting more of my artwork. I stumbled upon this photo a couple months ago and smiled - a glimpse into my world before I became self-employed. I was painting again for fun and experimenting with selling art prints of my work for popup shops with . The branding I created for my tiny popup was what led me to what I’m doing for other small business owners today. I was so passionate about my brand for NPC because the decision to get my dog, Norman, came after a really tough year in my life. I had never had a dog before, but welcomed a friend to share life with me and the distraction of raising a little 7-week-old pup. I smile at all the times Norman slept under my desk while I worked late at night on art projects. At my popups, people would see the illustration of Norman and ask me about my dog. We would happily chat away about our love for dogs, and would often pull out our phones to share pics of our own, haha.

Branding is important for many reasons, but what this story really highlights is its ability to create personal connection. Your brand is one of the most important ways you can set yourself apart from your competition by connecting with your people - the ones who don’t just turn into one-time customers but avid supporters of your brand. When you’re passionate about something, it shows. I could talk to you all day about my best bud, and Norman’s Paper Co. is still my favorite branding I’ve ever created.

Here’s to you, Norm dawg. Wouldn’t have ever gotten the idea to go for this business without you!

After a project is finished, it’s always fun to see the logo put to use. Ended up embroidering ’s brand illustration for her in this 12” hoop and love how it turned out!

One of the huge benefits of a brand that has a focus on illustration is it’s ability to translate well to sellable merchandise, or even fun projects such as this one.

While I can’t promise I will embroider a logo for every single client by hand, I CAN promise that you’ll love your logo enough to want to plaster it on every surface (stickers, t-shirts, mugs, options are endless)!

On another note, the past few weeks have been crazy busy. I’m fully booked for October and part of November, with special holiday projects woven in between. That only leaves 1.5 months left of the year to work together, so if you‘be been considering a rebrand at all, reach out as soon as possible!!

DIY-ing your brand sometimes feels like constantly picking up a bad pen to write with. Why. Will the pen. Not. Write?! You pick it up and expect it to serve its purpose, which is putting the ink on your paper, but instead you’re spending more time trying to get it to work than you are actually writing down your to-do list. It’s annoying, frustrating, and definitely a waste of time.

Now I hate bullying people into believing they need a brand design to be successful - truth is, sometimes you don’t. Here are some examples:

A. You’re just starting out and aren’t ready for the financial investment.

B. So far you’ve successfully grown your business with your current brand and don’t feel passionate about investing in a new one

C. You’re a small business without a vision for future growth

All businesses are different. Different growth paths, needs, and passions, and that’s what I love about the world of entrepreneurship. We become business owners to mesh together our desire to make money, doing something we love, in a lifestyle that fulfills us. The combination of all those things for different people are endless.

On the other hand though, if you’re a business owner who:

A. Feels established in their industry

B. Have the means to invest in your business

Or

C. Are passionate about taking your brand to the next level

Do you keep picking up a bad pen?
