Spring is in full force! We’ve been busy booking bands, supporting venues, capturing 📸 high energy performances and planning events! March was our very first 100% sponsored songwriter retreat in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. We hosted a talented group of artists and are so grateful for those who came to speak and share their expertise with the group! It was an incredible week of songwriting and networking. We are already planning the next one! 🎶

I’ve played arenas, amphitheaters, rodeos, theaters, listening rooms, sweaty rock and roll clubs, and flatbed trailers from border to border and coast to coast. But there’s nothing more challenging or more rewarding, at least for me, than taking a brand new song and playing it for a crowd that has no idea who you are and might not care who you are.. all through a small PA in the back corner of a loud place. Open mics and young songwriters are where my passion lies. They’ve always been the epicenter of cool s**t. It’s where the work gets done and you find who you are as an artist.

I’ve wanted to host a songwriter night since 2014, and I’m finally at a point in my life where I’m balanced enough to do it. As of right now, due to my gnarly schedule with the mighty , this will be a monthly deal. The first one is happening Tuesday, April 28.

The idea is simple. Free to attend. 3 songs. 10 spots available. The sign up sheet is first come, first serve. No covers, unless it’s a Todd Snider song. You can hit on Mondays, Waco on Tuesdays, on Wednesdays, and on Thursday.

So, if you’re a songwriter and you’re looking for a place to show off your art, learn about the business, and want to meet people who take it seriously, come out on April 28th to the OG by Baylor Campus.

Who knows, might have some homies show up to kick this thing off!
