I had someone ask me the other day why I limit guest posting & commenting on my FB Events... Well, the long and the short of it is SPAM BOTS.
Facebook events and I have a bit of a love hate relationship right now. Events are one of my favorite ways to leverage community presence for small businesses- however WHY IS THERE SOOOOOOO MUCH SPAM?
I get it, regulating bots is tricky- however I sweat i have banned 50 different accounts named 'events by Janet' who's sole purpose was to comment on my event posts and try and scam vendors out of a market stall fee. Be so fr.
That being said, I give myself space for one gripe post every once and a while, this is that post.
