This sign was originally done back in 2015 or 2016 and in the past couple of years it has had some deterioration happen in the 3M laminate that we had used on it. I’ve since stopped using that lam all together as soon as i became aware of it failing like it does when exposed continuously to the South in direct sunlight for many many many years. When facing any other direction it holds up perfectly though, and even though i believe 9-10 years is a great amount of time, seeing this one personally whenever i’m headed back to our town… has been a thorn for me.
“i really need to fix that sign” has been the thought i’ve had for the past year as i drive by it. It’s been on my list of to-do things ever since i saw the laminate starting to peel…. and this past Sunday, i finally took the time to fix it.
I can’t be having my work looking bad out there… it’s just not acceptable to me. I like for my work to look great, no matter what it takes, and I know that i now can be happy again about this one that sits just outside our town and one i pass frequently. It has seriously been driving me nuts for awhile now….thankful to have taken the time to make this one great again! 🤩😃💪🏻

just finished this project for TLC The Leman Conpany. Super clean, super simple, it should do a super job at getting the word out on them.
I even took the time to cover up several scraped/chipped paint areas on the front of the hood where it says SUPER DUTY and above each headlight, before those get any worse for them…. in THEIR colors to match.

just finished this piece.
gave the Monon arrowhead a few upgrades with some use of shadowing and gradient techniques.

This is the first squad to have gotten the 988 put on it, and so i came up with a quick design on that part to help people, that aren’t aware, better understand they can call it also.

It’s been some time since the last modified I did and so I struggled to find the energy and ideas for this one. I thought about reusing a design I did over a decade ago, but just couldn’t bring myself to taking the easy way out. I never reuse old designs… I let the others do that sorta thing. I like moving onward, keeping everything unique, original, and legitimately one offs. Duplicating your schemes by just swapping some colors and calling it good (especially when done for multiple race car owners) is just being too simple minded and boring since they all look (almost) identical.
So with that decided, I began the conceptualizing process. it’s always easier when I’m given some direction by the cars owner, but this year, it was open season. So initially I thought “it’d be kinda cool to do a psychedelic car”. One where the body was covered in a trippy, warped looking pattern that just made the panel loose much of their physical shape. So I began on that and realized that to do it effectively would require more time than i would have with the car. So back to square one.
Then I thought, maybe I just do (my own version) of the normal “swoosh” set of upward running, multi color stripes that seems to be the “go2” nowadays? Then I thought of Matt Toosley’s words of mockery to me for that sorta look, and how he respected and looked forward to seeing whatever my next one would be. So no go on it too.
My next thought was “maybe I could do a Superhero car” like Superman or maybe possibly a Batman one, as kinda a throwback to when I had wrapped my pickup years ago. So I began my search into Superhero’s….
As I thumbed thru the images, I came across Flash Gordon. Hmmm… Gordon… Jordan… that’s IT!!! That’s hilarious, and creative, and not everyone’s name rhymes with Gordon so yeah… I’m doing it (as I laughed out loud by myself). 😁
A few hours later my wife shows up in the shop and says, “I thought i’d come out to see what you might have for me to critique, have you had any ideas yet?” I said, “yes” as I had just finished creating two different initial mock-up versions of it. I scooted back and stood up as she began looking over the designs. Then I say it’s “Flash Jordan” and smiled at her. Her response was, “did you show them or tell them that idea or did they want a Superhero?” LOL…. No, No, and No. ha!
She says “are you gonna?” Uh… “hell no, they left it up to me, and I think it’s funny and creative, and that’s what it’s gonna be, so which version you like best?” She picked the red one over the one with blue in it, and that’s also how I was leaning so decision made.
So here it is, the Superhero car, another original, one off, unlike anything else you’ll prob see out on the track running with it. If you see Jordan, don’t give him too hard a jab over it. For one he had nothing to do with the concept and for two, it’s supposed to be a kinda spoof or just a play on words thing. If you really know me, then you know, this one is supposed to make you laugh a little. Life’s too short to be so serious and not everything is meant to be taken so literal.
But if you’re fortunate enough to have the right name, and you like going fast… you get the chance to be Flash in my book!

Good luck this year Landon Gutwein!!
This care was completely orange when we got it. 1 day of design work, 1/2 day to print, laminate… then 9:00pm-3:30am to cut the graphics and install them. Wouldn’t been so bad if the fiberglass hood didn’t have that deep compound curve / “bubble” area in the middle of it!! Not an easy task with only two hands… let me tell you… I’m glad it’s over. 🙂.
Only things left to go are the 2 wings now. Def a looker when it’s all put together.

Last week Lori and I finally made the appt to have our eyes checked out. Afterwards as we picked out our frames and sat thru the process of alignment and positioning for the progressive lenses that we were ordering…I saw the lady struggle with getting this 1”x2” static cling chart/tool to stay on Lori’s glasses long enough for her to get the measurements/reading she needed. Multiple times it fell off, and she would return to wiping it down again and reapplying it, only for it to again fall off as she let Lori put the glasses back on. Embarrassed and a little frustrated she says “we try to take care of these (charts) bc they are our only pair of them and it’s hard to find or get them anymore”

So, when it was my turn finally to go thru that process… I asked her ?’s about what the lines and marks tell her on them and what exactly she was using them to figure out? Then as she finished, I examined them closer saw how worn out they were and told her, “you know, I could prob make those for you if you’d allow me to get a photo and measurements of it, and/or were interested in me trying” She was like “oh you’d be my best friend if you coukd do so” lol. So I took a quick pic with a ruler beside it before I left that day.
The following day I took the time to draw up & create the file setup I would need to try and print them, if/when I ever buy some static cling material to do so. Being so tiny of text I was concerned how well they may turn out. A few days later, we had our laminator finally stop working. (It has been a day we knew was coming) As we await delivery on a new replacement, we were fortunate enough to have a friend on the biz (Jason McIlvain) get us permission by his boss/owner to laminate some FedEx decals we needed to ship out and a few other projects that’d keep us on schedule while we purchase/acquire the new machine. While there his boss was kind enough to listen to me explain this story and ultimately cut me off a small piece of Static Cling, so I could attempt to make the charts on my own, rather than send them the file for them to attempt it. Like a kid in a candy store, I couldn’t wait to get back and see what would happen.

Well here is the example of what the end result was in that process. Not only did they turn out better than I expected, they are an improvement over what is currently being used by the optometrist lady. I cannot wait to go back to pickup our glasses and see her reaction!!! I’m certain she’ll be as stoked as I am about them. It’s funny to me to think of how minor or non important something so little like this is/can be to others…but to me (and the lady at the Walmart Eye Center) it’s a really big deal and will be celebrated over. Lol. A perfect example of why I started my company originally, and what continues to be my main motivation for still doing it after 27+ yrs. Money is good but honestly there’s no better feeling than knowing you’ve helped someone positively and succeeded at making something new that you’ve never done before.
I’m addicted to that feeling, and thankful for every opportunity I’ve been given to experience it and the ROI that somehow eventually seems to come back around when I’m the one in need. Praise God. May each of you also find joy in your lives and have a blessed day.

Gotta be the coolest dock signs.... maybe ever?! Lol.

When I sent them my idea for these, it was immediately approved. Then it was a few hours cutting, many hours of filing , touching up edges, and then a half hour to apply all 20 decals. Glad my part of this project is over because installing in this cold weather is “not my kinda gig”... never has been. 🙂 So, delivery tomorrow, and then (up next) they are saying is an entrance/glass enclosure and then a semi, and 2 trailers that are in the pipeline for branding.

It’s been a long journey making it to today and the lessons that today has in store for me.
I’m reminded though today of just how many times I have been so fortunate and blessed over the years. It’s been an over abundance of joy to be able to help others, by doing something that I truly love and take pride in doing.
Each project has been meaningful to me, and one that I gave my very best to. I’ve not always been the fastest but that’s sometimes tough when there’s so much to do and you want it to be your best. To think that there’s been so many who have told me how much they like our work, or that it’s helped them, is beyond humbling and my wildest dreams personally. Did I think I could make it , 25+yrs as a biz? I’d prob say “yes” Without thinking and believing it, there’s no doing it.
Did I imagine how much of a blessing it would be for me and our family?? I had no clue, I have just continued to put one foot in front of the other, living day by day, and letting it be whatever it may be.
I’ve been so lucky to have found support from those we’ve worked for. Every project leaves out with a thankful heart and a hope for it to be a blessing in return. I owe it all to having found Christ and the importance of seeking his will out for my life. I’ve been a failure at pleasing Him so many times, but I’ve never given up trying to understand what He is trying to teach me thru it all. If I’ve learned anything it’s just how much God loves for us to seek his will for us. Failures happen, successes happen, they both have love for us in them. Nothing has changed since day 1 in regards to how I still owe it all to Christ, the Father, and the Holy Spirit.
I want to ask that you please take a moment today and just recognize that also in your own journey.
Keep doing your best at it and know it’s ok to fail, just don’t ever give up. Best wishes to you all.

Ty Hanson I’m finally “caught up” with your projects after yesterday. The sign on your building looks exactly like this proof we did on it, the window perfs on your entrance came out vivid and fit perfectly.... and the 10’x20’ conference room wall looked epic with the matte laminate and color of the rest of the room. Looks just like your biz cards and it’s larger than life, just like your heart and love for those you care about is.
Thanks for the work my brother. From both Alberick and myself. Thanks for everything you’ve given. God bless you and yours.
