Azami Press was honored to have our certificate and seal designs used as part of a project for one of our customers in South Africa, Gary Grapentin, Chairman of United Shōtōkan Ryū Karate-Dō of South Africa.

The register was conceptualized and bound by Heléne van Aswegen, one of South Africa’s preeminent bookbinders. Considering that Heléne works predominantly with leading South African artists, it is indeed a tremendous privilege to have had her agree to take on this commission. The book is bound using a traditional Japanese method called "stab stitching."

Today is the final day of the 平成 (Heisei) era. Tomorrow marks the beginning of 令和元年 (the first year of Reiwa). Certificates issued after today will bear a date shown with the new 令和 (Reiwa) era prefix.

Up until now, this page has covered both parts of the Azami Linguistics and Martial Arts entity. One is our graphic design/translation/printing service (Azami Press); the other is our martial arts academy (Azamikan Dōjō).

Moving forward, we're going to separate these into two different pages.

This page will represent only the graphic design/translation/printing service handled by Azami Press, the page name having been changed to reflect this.

The name of our martial arts academy has been changed to Dentōkan Dōjō, and a separate page has been established to that end.

Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you get a moment, please stop by our academy page and give us a like there, as well. The link is attached here.
