Sometimes words aren't enough. Alice was a leader in our profession, a champion for many, a mentor to hundreds in all walks of life, a tireless volunteer, an incredible mother and wife, and a cherished friend. Our hearts are with Tom, Ryan and Cate, the Pearsons and Chapmans, and her MP&F family. It's an unfathomable loss.

It is with great sadness that we share the devastating news that Alice Pearson Chapman, our managing partner, passed away unexpectedly this morning of a brain aneurysm.

Alice was unfailingly kind, a mentor and role model to many, and relied upon by her clients and our team for her wise counsel and leadership. Our hearts go out to her family, particularly her husband, Tom, and children, Ryan and Cate. We will share details regarding arrangements and plans to honor Alice’s memory in the coming days.

Excited for pro bono client Studio Tenn as they welcome Patrick Cassidy -- yes, of *that* Cassidy family -- as artistic director. Besides an amazing legacy of work and experience, Patrick is enthusiastic and incredibly nice, and will be a true resource for Visit Franklin, TN and our community. (and BTW, Studio Tenn's production of Cinderella begins next month, just in time for the holidays -- get your tickets!)

We are excited to share that, after an extensive search, Studio Tenn has selected our new Artistic Director: Patrick Cassidy!

Patrick, son of Shirley Jones and the late Jack Cassidy and brother to Shaun, Ryan and the late David Cassidy, is a legend in the performing arts community and his acclaimed career spans Broadway, film and television.

Patrick and his wife, Melissa Hurley Cassidy, will be moving from Los Angeles and will be joining the Studio Tenn team this month.

Join us in welcoming Patrick and Melissa to the Studio Tenn family this holiday season!

We're on Retreat this week, awaiting Tropical Storm Nestor in Seaside. We've managed to get some work done in between Jay's games of "see if you can recognize this song," unwinding on the beach and informative sessions with clients Good People Brewing Company / Eric Schultenover and Kraft Enterprise Systems / Meredith Schult. Always good to step away from the office for a few days, relax and concentrate on what we can do better.
